First, let me say that I should have read the ad more closely. However, it was only meant to ensure that a very ancient old gal held herself together on her trip back home to her final resting place. As requested, those assisting her wrapped her side to side and strapped her snuggly to ensure that one side or the other of her (dried up old carcass) did not simply drop off. You could tell by her bone structure that she had been a beauty in her day. When she arrived, (photos redacted)the straps dangled at her belly and BECAUSE THE BUCKLE AND TIGHTENING MECHANISM DID NOT HOLD, one side of her had become completely detached. It was a tragic scene. Clearly, these were not enough for such an important passenger. You couldn't strap down anyone with these.

Given the price point that I brought these at (£5), these are exceptionally good for purpose. The locking mechanism can be a bit fiddly to work with, but once the cables are locked in place they really don't budge easily.Having recently used these to tie down 2 large Ikea boxes (25kg each) in my car, they really keep things in place, and for the entire 100+ mile trip, they did not shift in the slightest which was very helpful in allowing me to keep my focus on the road, rather than worrying about whether or not a box would smash into me.Overall, I would recommend these based on my experience. They definitely serve their purpose, and at £5 are considerably cheaper than others on the market.
