Kase filters are a little bit pricey, but in my opinion they are some of the best out there for the money. They are not charging ludicrous prices, but they are expensive enough to let you know that they are likely not junk. And they definitely are not junk. They are well made, feel very solid, and the glass seems to be top notch. I particularly love the lever to adjust the ND level (from 1.5 to 8 stops). I thought I would hate having a lever like this, but it is not really in the way and it makes changing the stops very easy. This is probably like my 5th or 6th Kase filter and I certainly hope it is not my last.

This variable ND filter is great! Nice metal construction that is precise. The filter changes via the red lever moving as opposed to the edge of the filter frame moving — however, the filter frame turns too but it doesn’t adjust the filter but allows for positioning of the red adjuster. Quality lens cap provided. Nice carrying case for the filter but it doesn’t adjust not have space for the lens cap. I wish the adjuster held just slightly tighter in its position but I haven’t had it move when trying to shoot so it works fine.
