I've never used salt & pepper grinders like these, but finally caved after watching so many people use them in videos. That being said, I went ahead and ordered this set, which arrived in 2 days (Prime item). They came in a box and were well-packaged. They look just like the photos in the description and are of the same measurements. They look really nice even though they're bulky. But most things will be when comparing to the glass spice jars I use.The one thing that bothers me is that they don't include batteries. Each grinder requires 3 and that's a lot for just grinding salt and pepper. Having to use 6 of my Duracells still hasn't been easy to forget. They each function as expected and have not presented any issues so far. I'm rating them 4 stars and removed 1 star based on the lack of included batteries and having to provide 6 AA batteries myself.

I am a 76 years and have trouble turning those grinders for my sea salt. Thats why I bought this one. I is wonderful, and has a light that is really neat.

These aren’t bad so far. I’ve had them a while and I’m just getting around to using them because I keep forgetting to buy batteries. My biggest complaint is how many batteries these things require. I don’t know what I was expecting but I guess I wasn’t expecting to need so many. They look nice and I like the base they came with because I have them set on top of a cutting board that covers my stove, which we move a lot. Holds a good amount of salt and pepper and they seem to work decently. If I have issues with them I’ll update but no issues yet.

The ceramic grinders work well for salt, pepper, or other spices.Grind adjustment is pretty good.I like using rechargeable batteries (eneloops) better than rechargeable devices because when you suddenly discover the batteries are dead you can quickly swap in fresh batteries rather than having to wait a few hours for the device to recharge. The light doesn't do much for me, especially since it's a harsh blue-white led light that is unattractive on food. Not really a big deal though.

Works fine but.....I guess I was expecting... better?First off, it looks good and feels great in the hand. The adjustable grind size is easy to adjust and works pretty well. Operation couldn't be easier... hold the grinder over the food and press the button. Easy ready. But let's talk about the disappointments...1) batteries not only does each one take 4 AAAs, but getting them oriented inside the grinders should be much more intuitive. I had to double check the directions to make sure I had them in right (should be obvious in the battery compartment).2) It's louder than I expected. I guess I hadn't given it much thought but I was struck by the noise it produced. It wasn't uncomfortablely loud or anything, but... just noisy.3) They don't particularly run very quick. I can run my manual mill almost as quick. Granted I just have to press a button but with 4 AAAs and that much noise, I'd like to see these mills really pump out a lot of pepper (or salt) fast... but that doesn't happen.4) a speed control would be great, but it runs at one speed. Need to spread a tiny bit of salt or pepper across a large area of food? Might be a bit tough.I waffled between giving this a 3 and 4 star review. Since I have no experience with other powered mills, a few of the thing I was disappointed with may be standard with powered mills. I erred in their favor and went with a 4.
