I have a few sizes of adjustable wrenches/ Crescent wrenches and they always have this problem of the thumb adjustment screw getting jammed and hard to rotate. Only time will tell if these do the same thing, but to honest I don't think they will. They are well made wrenches with a very smooth thumb screw adjustment, that so far has not gotten jammed. There appears to be the right amount of slack to make that mechanism work perfectly. I like that you get two wrenches in the set, but wish that it came with a third wrench that is smaller in size. Maybe a 5 or 6 inch would be handy. They feel very solid in your grip and you can apply a lot of force with them. They have a scale in metric on the side which I guess could help identify what size nut you are dealing with. Not sure if I will use this feature, but we shall see.Bottom line.. very well machined set of Crescent/ adjustable wrenches at a good price. Definitely a welcomed addition to my DIY/garage mechanic shop. I can recommend this product.....Side note.. A lot of people think that the Crescent wrench got its name because of the crescent moon shape of the head of the wrench, but actually they were first made by the Crescent Tool Company in New York. My Grandfather gave me an actual Crescent wrench that was passed down to him. I wish I knew what I did with that wrench it would cool to restore that and have it on display in my shop.

These are decent quality for generic wrenches, and a good deal for the price, but not up to the quality level of most known brands. If you are looking for a $10 wrench to throw in a car tool kit or something you aren't using all the time, these are a good fit I think. I would not buy them to put in a primary tool kit unless you are very short on money. I rated these 4/5 because they are a good value, and are a 4/5 for-the-price ($20 for 2 at the time of the review) but if you were comparing them to a snap on in terms of quality and comfort of use they are a 2/5, for example. The jaws on both wrenches were slightly out of parallel, both measured a gap of right on .035" at the base when the tips of the jaws were touching, this works out to a 1.3-2 degree out of parallel situation. So not a deal breaker but not great either. My 20 year old snap on and 3 year old crescent are both still perfectly parallel as a comparison. The toothed gear is a bit rough, and actually hangs up a bit on the smaller wrench. Both wrenches have metric scales, which is annoying for the US market. It would have been easy for the company to mark inches on one side metric on the other. The 12" wrench has a max opening of 1.45" and the 10" has a max opening of 1.25", with both having jaw depths almost exactly the same.Aside from the above issues they look/feel like an upper level generic or lower level name brand tool, and work fine in use despite these issues.

Nice pair of 10" & 12" adjustable wrenches. 10" wrench jaws opened to ~32mm or ~1.26", while the 12" wrench jaws opened to ~37.6mm or just shy of 1.5" (~1.48") based on my caliper measurements.I appreciate the laser-engraved milli-meter scale on these wrenches quantifying their "opening size"-> Helpful to avoid "guessing" when you need to switch to an appropriate sized socket wrench! The chrome plating on these wrenches has a bit more of a matte finish than my comparative adjustable wrenches... but still seems of very good quality. I tried some fairly high-torque hand bolt tightening with this pair of wrenches... without marring the jaws. The jaws actuate smoothly and feel comparably "tight" in their movement compared to my reference wrenches. While the 12" wrench's jaws opened ~0.11 inches wider than a "comparable" 12" adjustable wrench I had on hand... they were "tantalizingly close" to reliably handling nuts and bolts with 1.5" wide flats. This 12" wrench worked on one such "bolt" I tried (actually the hitch ball pictured, whose flats were actually ~1.48" wide)... but I don't believe this wrench would reliably work for all nominally 1.5" flats. (... my justification to have a larger wrench in the toolkit :)Overall, very happy to add this pair of wrenches to my kit though... and they are large enough to handle the vast majority of the work I do.

I really should pay more attention to the sizes of things before I order them. I just need a couple of wrench to have on hand for very minor usage and for some reason I thought these were the ones I needed. They are great quality wrenches made with heavy weight material but they are much larger than anything I need. Since the sizing issue was my fault I absolutely don't hold that against the seller and I rated on quality not usefulness.

These not only seem robust and well-made; in reality, they are undeniably a quality collection of crescent wrenches. I have already used them in various major projects, and they have effectively locked the bolts in place. The castings are remarkable, durable, and the appearance is excellent. There is a minor slack/movement in the mechanism, a bit more than I would anticipate from a top-quality wrench. Nonetheless, taking the price into account, I would contend these are fairly favorable. They should be sturdy for the functions they are designed for. Large and robust, the thumbscrew turns effortlessly, which can sometimes pose a problem. Like the weight and durability of the set, I can confidently claim that it possesses industrial strength. Incredibly precise, a remarkable assortment at a great cost. I would definitely recommend these!
