Good inexpensive router bits at a great price. At the time of this review the price is 22.10 after the 15 percent coupon applied. Thats 22 dollars for 3 carbide lock miter bits. just over 7 dollars each, wow. They are not professional quality at that price, in the sence they will not do thousands of linear feet of board. But they are more than good enough for the hobbiest that will use them once in awhile. That being said they are good and sharp, but I would only use them for soft wood, mdf or particle board. You get 3 different sizes, 1 for 3/4, 5/8 and half inch materieal. So for the price and quality, 4.5 stars.

I’ve tried numerous 1/4” router bits that look like this. Finger joints being the worse of the bunch. They’re putting heavy poorly balanced cutters on thin shanks and they bend if you go even a bit too fast. If you spend your days making bamboo cutting boards, I’m sure these thin shanks big head bits will seem okay. Even on cheap pine these work poorly. They made poorly fitting joints, slowly, and wobbled before their first use. Would not recommend these to anyone in Canada. Why they give an adapter is beyond me. Anyone with a 1/2” router should be buying 1/2” shank bits. The adapter can only make the existing wobble worse.

I have been using lock miter joints a lot lately. They are way easier to cut than box joints or dovetails. They position themselves precisely and glue up easily for strong joints. The bits are expensive and they do wear out. I have seen a single bit from a top maker that sells for $176. So what should one expect from this $21 set if three?Unfortunately, this set of bits is not really a set. The profiles are different suggesting they were made by different companies. Their listed cutting heights are misleading since they include the shoulders of the bit that are there to maintain integrity of the bit, not for use in a joint. The middle of the bit is the middle of the zig-zag thing. I measured the useful cutting height to be .75 inch, not big really enough to be used on National Hardwood Lumber Association standard 13/16 inch barely enough to use on standard lumber; .56 inch for the medium; and .50 inch for the small.Maybe one can use large for 5/8 inch, medium for1/2 inch, and small for 3/8 inch stock?I put the “large” bit into a 1/4 collet (I did not use the adapter). When I spun it up (about 8000 rpm for a 2 inch bit) there was little vibration. Cuts were slow, even using multiple passes. The bit did not appear to be sharp. It was slower and more difficult to control on end grain cuts. I have a respect for routers. I worry about so much bit on a 1/4 shank. This pushed my comfort level. Is it a good value for the price? If you do things with smaller sized stock, especially 3/8, it might be. You might be better off buying a single bit of better quality that really targets your use.

My Knights of Columbus use these specifically for a fundraising event that is associated with racing. Price was fantastic, they hold up well and sometimes multiple use. Thank you!

These disposable tablecloths were heavy duty and a good value for the price. They fit right in with our carnival themed event.

For the price you can't lose unless you want to make 300 cabinets. I'm sure these bits will hold up for small jobs but I wouldn't use these if I were a cabinet maker. They just won't last that long. However, if you have a hobby where these could be used now and then I think they are worth the price.
