Even though they’re not Lego brand they work great with legos and bricks.

I have several name-brand sets and off-brand sets that I wanted to use these for - they work great with both types of sets! They are durable, thick, and yet great for whatever set you wish to use them with. I have my sets sitting up high so these keep the individual pieces (i.e. figurines, tables, chairs, etc.) standing and a part of the set better than sitting on a smooth shelf. Husband took a couple to build "racks" for his cars to sit on - they work great for that as well - a multi-floor garage! Either way - these are great foundations for any brick building set you have! I got the black ones. I truly feel like these are great! Giftable to any brick building, durable, and highly functional! Highly recommend!

This item is great. It comes in 8 pieces of black squares and is Lego compatible! The color is great and is complimentary to Legos. It's best to put on a hard, level surface, like a table or a desk. My kids tried to use this over a carpet, and it was rather flimsy. I believe it's because the building board itself is very thin. I would have liked it if it was thicker and less bendy. I took off a star for that dislike of mine. Overall, it's going to be quite useful for stabilizing Lego structures and building Legos over it. I do recommend it, but just know that it's really thin before you decide if you want to buy it or not.

Plates work with legos pretty well. The only main discrepancies are that they have about 4 molding marks where the plates were injection molded I’m assuming. Like the original Lego plates, these are bendable. However, they bend no more than what Lego plates bend to. People writing about that being issue probably assumed these were like standard pieces that are rigid.
