I have a 2004 Jaguar X-Type, and the most challenging part of this replacement project was figuring out how to remove the old struts. One YouTube video made it seem as simple as popping the old ones off and snapping the new ones on. However, not all models are the same.On my 2004 Jag X-Type, the bonnet struts were secured with a clip mechanism. Fortunately, I found another YouTube video demonstrating the same setup. With a small flathead screwdriver, a simple lift of the clip, and pop—off they came. Installing the new ones was just as easy; they snapped right into place.Now, I no longer have to worry about getting decapitated while working under the hood. Good quality, Fits exactly like the originals on my 05 Jaguar Xtype, took about 2 minutes to replace each.
