These not only made a vintage 10 x 50 Sears binocular good again but made it better than original. These block more light on the sides and feel much more comfortable. The rubber is soft against the areas around my eyes. Only drawback is lint sticks to the rubber. I think a rubber protectant might help. The eye relief or distance between my eyes and the lenses is perfect. I debated on getting the angled shields but now see that those would not be good for binoculars because the diopter adjustment would move the angle around and not be ideal if sharing with another person. I would definitely buy these again.

Great addition I added to my telescope. By adding these rubber eyepiece covers to my lenses they block out any unwanted light from entering into the eyepiece. The rubber is very flexible and installation is very quick and easy. The rubber flexes so it can fit around the 1.25” diameter of the eyepiece. The will fit with the eye relief rubber around the eyepiece with no issues. They will also fit onto binoculars as well.

These eyepiece eye guards work well. I didn't get them for microscope eyepieces, but for older 1.25" telescope eyepieces that I have. They are made of thick rubber that's fairly pliable, so you can stretch it out a bit to fit them over older "smoothie" type Plossls and orthoscopics. The fit will depend on the particular eyepiece. I got them to fit over several older Celestron Ultima and Meade Plossls. They don't look particularly elegant on these eyepieces, but they get the job done. You can remove them quite easily and put them back on as needed. Overall, I'm glad I got these. They're a nice addition to the eyepiece case.
