The metal collars are poorly finished and have left scratch mark on my maple fret board.

Credo che la recensione possa riassumersi nel titolo, sono attrezzi molto utili per poter manutenere i tasti in metallo senza danneggiare il legno del manico di una chitarra.Per quanto riguarda il piccolo panno abrasivo, una qualsiasi carta gradazione 8000 svolge la stessa funzione.Consigliati.

The fretboard shield work well for protection when fret polishing. However Dunlop is a little tight on the polishing cloth. Could do with a few pieces, rather than just one.

I like this fret finishing system. The collars are nice and the way they are designed I was easily able to knock out 2 basses within a short period of time.As for the polishing pad/cloth, it's basically 8000 grit sandpaper on a cloth like material. The pad will last for a few cleanings and that's pretty much it. I have 11 basses so this isn't really enough. You can buy more pads but in my opinion you can purchase several sheets of 8000 grit sandpaper and pretty much get 4x the amount you would get from the replacement pads for the same price.

These work exactly as advertised. You can finish a whole fret board in a few minutes while changing strings. A couple notes - have another cloth and some fret board oil hands as there will be some shavings afterwards.I've used one cloth for a couple boards now, I think each cloth will probably get 3-4 uses before needing a new one.
