Tool works well. Saw some reviews saying it wasn't good. Worked great setting intonation on my Floyd

The product would work if the screw reached to the upper claw like in the silver unit's pictures.The screw looks a little shorter on the black unit's pictures, but mine is really short.Also for the people that couldn't detach it from the guitar, the microtuners need to be about 1/2 way down to be able to install and remove these units correctly. I've used these before, no instructions included.

I wanted to provide an honest review given there are other reviews that are inaccurate or false and result in being misleading. First off, this tool works for any Floyd rose based off of the original. It is consistent with all Floyd Rose intonation tools tagged as "the key" that can be found from Luthier shops, Amazon, music shops or similar. It needs to be used as intended for a positive outcome, but once used as intended, it performs as intended (go figure).The adjustment range isn't too short, and it isn't hard to remove once done.The only part that results in a bit of fiddling is the small clamping fork on the bottom of the device that is to clamp the string lock screw head. It should have longer forks so it doesn't cause the device to angle downward once carrying the string tension load after the saddle mounting screw is loosened.This design oversight is consistent with all available from many vendors. That said, I wanted to give this device 4 stars due to the design of this fork, however, that isn't the seller of this particular items fault, its the design in general.How I found it worked best:- Turn the adjustment screw until the device can be installed as required on a saddle- Turn the adjustment screw to move the aforementioned fork backward as to set the clamping force in place between the base plate and string lock screw head. (turn it until its fairly stiff so its less likely to move)- Complete tuning verification to determine direction of saddle movement required- Detune the associated string, then loosen the associated saddle mounting screw- Move the saddle in the desired direction via intonation key adjustment screw- Re-tune string and verify- If the string is properly intonated, re-tighten the saddle mounting screw, if not readjust saddle as required and repeat until its intonated.- Turn the intonation key adjustment screw in the opposite direction to unclamp the device and move on to the next saddle.The reason to retune the string is to mitigate the action of the intonation key from angling towards the guitar body due to the limited range of the clamping forks if the string has full tension. Also, there was one saddle I had that would angle no matter what, so I had to depress the saddle down with my finger, then adjust, then re-tighten the saddle mounting screw, but again, no fault of the vender and would be addressed with longer forks so the tool clamps more securely on the string lock screw head.All that said, I was able to intonate my guitar in about 15-20 minutes using this tool vs hours and still slightly inaccurate without using it. So its still worth every penny.The reason for the 4 stars is that the forks mentioned above are not 90 degrees and are angled slightly towards the base plate clamp, which I think is causing the tool shift or downwards angle mentioned above.

Un bon outil pour faire l'ajustement de guitares équipées d'un trémolo de style "Floyd Rose".

The claws that lock it to the bridge didn't fit so instead of locking over it it just pushes against it. Even with the screw backed out as far as it would go I couldn't get it past the bolt head. Not sure if some floyd rose designs are different but on my EVH Wolfgang it doesnt work. Did it the old fashioned way.
