I bought a new pump nowhere on my order or product description did it say used or refurbished, it came not just used but the plug was covered in corrosion part of the plug was melted. The controller was not even for the pump I bought, if the pump was even the right one. I didn't even try to run it because of the risk of starting a fire or being electrocuted. But it was conveniently packaged like it was new. Worst part I got it on my birthday and was super excited. Totally ruined my day, thanks a bunch. Wish I could give it -50 stars

I bought two of the SCP-180M's (wifi capable) to replace two Maxspect Gyre 250's that I had, one of whose motors failed after over 7 years of continuous use (not bad!). On first glance, these pumps feel sturdy and they install easily and securely to the 1/2" glass on my tank. Longevity is yet to be established, of course. If there are any surprises (like premature failure), I'll try to remember to update this review.The SCP-180Ms definitey produce more flow than my old Gyres (an important consideration for my 220 gallon SPS-dominated reef tank), so I've dialed back the pumps to 70% flow in the daytime and 30% at night. Setting up wifi was a bit of a pain because these pumps only connect on 2.4 GHz wifi and require you, on your phone or tablet using their automatic setup method, to connect at 2.4 GHz for setup. This won't do if you have a 5 GHz wifi network running at home or a 5/2.4 GHz network (I have an Orbi mesh network that doesn't allow me to shut off 5 GHz wifi independently of the 2.4 GHz wifi) but your phone connects preferentially to the 5 GHz network. Anyways, I learned that the way to connect in my case was to use the AP (access point) mode after which wifi setup was straightforward.The SCP-180M capabilities meet my needs, but the included directions are difficult to understand. But, with some effort, I was able to figure out the different modes and how to access/change different settings. I'm sure that there's a video somewhere that might have helped, but I managed without. The real keys to the kingdom, for me, was figuring out that the AP connection method was the way to go.

I bought the 150 for my 120 gallon tank and unfortunately at the lowest setting it’s way way way to powerful for my tank so I’m now using it in my mixing can and this thing is awesome I will purchase a much smaller one for my Tank because it’s a corner triangular tank 4’ wide across the front and 3 foot tall. Great pump though. App works great and pump is very silent and it’s adjustable in all way. All modes work great.

Supera mis espectativas, la uso al 40% y sustituyó a mis bombas de circulacion, mi acuario mide 2m y sin problema recircula toda el agua

Demasiado para 80cm largo. Lo uso en el minimo casi hasta arriba y en el extremo contrario pega y baja removiendo la arena. Lo uso al minimo. Probe quitando 1 propela, aun asi muy fuerte... Aun asi es buena la bomba para barrer desechos. No vale mucho la pena la funcionalidad wifi.

Just got this up and running and I’m impressed. I have a 32.5 gallon Fluval Flex AIO tank and was apprehensive about buying this because of the reviews stating it was too powerful. Not true.This thing is giving me great surface agitation, absolutely zero dead spots in the tank now and doesn’t blow sand everywhere to boot. I can turn it low enough that it’s just a gentle current. From the start it stirred up all kinds of detritus that’s now been cleared by my filter and not sitting in the tank anymore.I didn’t have any issues connecting to wi-fi as others seem to have had. The app is disappointing though. All it allows is on/off and connecting other Jebao products like lights, dosing pumps and such.I did have an issue at startup with it making some noise and the impeller seeming to bind up on lower setting. Some silicone lubricant on the plastic ends of the impellers solved it immediately. Smooth and quiet as a mouse now.Other then that everything was pretty self explanatory so really no need for instructions short of what the various settings are.And if I upgrade to a lager tank I have the ability to slave multiple units together.Can’t speak for longevity yet but what a steal for $80! Compare to others for $300. They’re almost disposable at that price point.Way better and less intrusive then a standard power head.Now that I have it in hand I’ve realized most bad reviews are from people who have no idea how to use these. Worst case scenario if it’s too much you can take one of the two impellers off and cut flow in half. Nozzles are completely adjustable for direction of flow so there’s absolutely no reason to “run it upside down” as one review I saw stated.Just adhere to the recommended tank sizes. When it says minimum 80 cm it means it. With these it’s more about matching the appropriate tank dimensions then it is about gallons per hour. Turnover doesn’t matter here. Just flow pattern. And that is size dependent. The goal isn’t to turnover the total volume of water x amount of times per hour. It’s to engineer a perfect wave pattern to make your corals feel at home.Cheers and happy reefing!Update as of 1/17/2024:Still performing well with no issues. Not a day off since purchase. I have a 125 african cichlid tank with about 14 peacocks and 3 haps, most are teenagers and a few almost fully grown, so they produce a lot of POOP! I had a smaller wave maker in there and it did pretty good, but this one really pushes water, it catches every corner of the tank even in between the rocks. Theirs 8 speed settings, during the day and at night i leave it on setting 5, when i get home from work i usually turn it to 8 to get anything that didnt get suspended in the water thru out the day. Been keeping my tank clean and POOP free! It also agitates the water surface extremely well for oxygen.I did have a problem when i first got it, about a week or 2 weeks later on the slow setting it was making a ticking noise, i went thru the return process but the next day i did a water change and moved the wave maker and the ticking went away so i cancelled the replacement, ever since then its been doing good, I will update if things go south.Overall i am happy with it, its quiet, looks really good in the tank, and it does what i wanted it to do.
