Looks nice on my counter and perfect for my scraps until I can bring out to my compost bin. No smells ease cleaning the bucket. Great product.

This does a great job for compost. It's compact and I don't smell the compost/food scraps. I wish the lid was easier to take on and off (eg having a flip top lid) but it works well!

This compost container seems pretty great.It's a good size. I wouldn't want anymore scraps than it will hold sitting around in my kitchen anyway. It has a nice, easy to clean inner bucket that the scraps actually go into.The inner bucket has a handle to make it easy to remove and dump.It's a cute container on the outside, although it is a little big to store on your countertop unless you just have a lot of counter space. I keep mine beside the trash can.It has a charcoal filter in the top of the lid held by a metal ring, but the ring doesn't come off and re-attach.This charcoal filter is held in place by a metal ring inside the lid that wasn't attached when I received it. I think it broke loose in shipping. It appears as though it was tack welded to the inside of the canister lid. There is no way to re-attach it. So this leaves me wondering, how was the filter supposed to be changed out? I can only guess that the old one is supposed to be pulled out through the hole in the ring and the new one pushed through. I haven't seen any directions on the Amazon page and none were included. I've included pics to show how it arrived and you can see where it looks like the ring was tack welded in place. I have taped it in place for now until I can find a better alternative. This is the reason for my 3 start rating.

It is well-made and looks good on my countertop. The charcoal filter helps to keep the bin from smelling, and the lid keeps out pests.
