The JASST stylus is lighter (by .15 oz. if you’re playing along at home) although the same size and shape (cylindrical with one flat “side”) as the original Marker Plus for the ReMarkable2. Its barrel also is smoother than that of the more tactile, grippy original. And the JASST feels more like you’re writing on glass than the subtle, more realistic resistance of the Marker Plus as it glides over the RM2 surface. But the JASST worked right out of the box, includes 5 extra nibs and a makeshift tweezer to change them. The nibs also look as if they might fit in the original (but I can’t put my hands on the original nibs at the moment and am unwilling to remove the one in the Marker Plus and risk damaging it to say for sure). The magnet worked as well as the original. The eraser function on the JASST felt more precise due to a tactile click when engaged. If I did something stupid and the stylus that came with my RM2 broke as a result, I would buy this replacement rather than another Marker Plus from ReMarkable. Eventually my wife or I might forgive myself, however, and I might start missing the paper-like feel of the RM2 writing experience and the ergonomics of the original stylus. At that point I would order another Marker Plus. And at that point I would have an extra stylus. But how many pens do you have in your desk drawer? Last month my original stylus started going crazy; I was able to fix it fortunately, but it would have been comforting to have a backup in case I couldn’t. So, no this is not as nice as the original Marker Plus from ReMarkable, but it’s reasonably close…for a substantially lower price.Full disclosure: I did a blind comparison test of the two syllabuses with my wife and she couldn't tell the difference between them. When pressed, she said she might like the JASST syllabus a little better. But the JASST had a new nib, and my wife had no previous experience with the RM2, and she's not nearly as finicky as I am, and it's my review after all.

I lost my ReMarkable pen that I LOVED and had to find one quick. This one was the first I found. It arrived quick and has the eraser built in. My last one wrote like a pencil while this one writes more like a ballpoint pen. It glides across the screen easily. Almost too easily for me, I liked the tactile feel of the other. It is accurate on the screen and writes well though. I write small sometimes and I have not had any issues!Overall a good feel to it with extra nibs when you need them. It is magnetic but I have a case that holds mine in too.
