This worked great for my 4 and 7 year olds to wear under their ski helmets. Fit both well, soft, kept them warm.

It worked well as a hat but the face cover is not very breathable and so it would get really moist and then get cold.

THIS OFFERS EXCELLENT BREATHABILITY THANKS TO THE MESH PERFECTLY MADE. THIS PREVENTS FOGGING OF GLASSES. THE MATERIAL THICKNESS IS NICE AND THE MASK FITS COMFORTABLY WITH NO LOOSE ENDS.

This is a great balaclava for kids to have that can encourage them to wear their snow clothes when its cold out. My children are really crazy when it comes to playing in the cold and often complain about getting all dressed up, even when its in the teens and lower outside. This is a nice looking balaclava that my daughter actually enjoys wearing, so it encourages her to wear her snow clothes when we are going out. It is not super heavy weight so its not going to help you in sub-zero temperatures, but it is great for the 20s and 30s. It isn't as good once you get below the 10s though, so if you are somewhere that gets particularly cold, you may want to look for somethign a bit more heavy-duty than this!

This is a must have if you live in a cold climate and wear a helmet for any reason. My grandchildren ski and they use these under their helmets. I wear it under my horse riding helmet.SIZING: This is marketed as a childrens size but it fits me as an adult female. I would say it would fit an elementary school age kid to a small adult. It would fit a toddler loosely so I would not recommend for a very young child.The stretch is great, it can easily be worn under the chin or pulled up for full face coverage. The material is not very thick so I'm not sure I'd wear it without a helmet or a second hat if I were going to be outside a long time. You might want something thicker or more fleece like for that. This is a rather thin, stretchy material with great coverage of the face.
