When I first started looking for my first guitar, I was told to not get a V because of comfort reasons. But this is a different story. When I got this, I was shocked about how well it played with the price i bought it for. If you are into pointy guitars for your first guitar, this is it. I would even say this sounds better than a Les Paul. Go for it!!!!

This guitar is a really great product. Awesome value for the quality. Jackson guitars are an Awesome brand. There’s a reason Randy Rhoads played them! Right out of the box, just needed a quick tune and it sounds amazing. I love it and it’s so much fun to play. Due to the shape, it’s not an easy guitar to play while sitting down so its definitely an on-stage guitar for playing while standing. It’s a normal weight, nothing ridiculously heavy. All in all a great guitar for the money and very very fun to play.

It would be unfair to simply label this a metal machine. She's my go-to guitar. Light. Fast. Simple. Everything you need and nothing you don't. Controls like a Tele. Some may dislike placement of three-pole switch between the master volume and tone controls, but with a minimum of practice, this actually becomes an improvement. Perfect for beginners. More than adequate for journeymen and even pros who aren't overly-conscious of appearing with a cost-efficient guitar.Humbuckers are decent. Produce fantastic tone. There's the point at which this guitar breaks from the Tele. Body shape akin to classic but unproduced Gibson Moderne from the '58 NAMM show. Poplar top and back - decent. Amaranth fret board - may take a little getting used to because it's hard and somewhat less forgiving than rosewood, but if you like a clean tone that can be pedal-modified, you're fine. Basswood body - very stable. Some will complain about this, but I've gotten better tonal quality out of this little guitar than I have much higher end Pauls and Strats that are just collecting dust in the corner. This is a pickup and go guitar. Plug her into a deserving amp and halfway decent pedalboard and you have an ax of which to be proud. Good-looking. Great sounding. I give her a six out of five - yeah an extra star.
