As that old saying...Batteries not included....that’s something to consider when one has a single battery on your pleasure boat..or two....This will control one battery with ease.Always install a main battery switch on your boat....during routine services...the motor, the electronics...turn the battery into Off position. When your to leave your boat unattended...turn off this most required manual disconnect battery switch..if .a auto float operateed bilge pump ...be aware ..that will also be disconnected.This switch also can be hooked up..for two batteries....use the single Positive lead cable TO THE main vessel feed utilized for 12 + .GUEST also has a DUAL POSITION switch ..to control TWO INDIVIDUAL BATTERIES... before choosing ... select the correct manual main switch for your application...either switch will easily handle the total HI AMPERAGE DRAW REQUIRED.A important note...the ultra smooth operation of this GUEST main power switch...as no other brands....a solid detent..click. ..when switching to On...or OFF positions...a easily seen ...on...off On the face plate..plus a INDICATOR DIMPLE on the switch dial ..knob .Have been boating over a 1/2 century...and have always purchased GUEST marine certified main switches....this exact switch just installed on our new Pontoon boat....I mounted it on a flat surface...at a height easy to grasp the selection dial...don’t even have to view the position the switch..can hear..and feel..as The large knob is rotated..on...or. off.......On when we go boating.......Off position when we our not aboard our boat after use.I want to add to this AMAZON review...I purchased this GUEST PRODUCT..was NOT required...or suggested to write this review in exchange for the product.SAFE BOATING..
