I’m sure some hardware stores carry similar models at lower prices, but since I couldn’t find it near me, I bought it here. No problems installing then finishing it with some sealant around the box for good measure. Price was a bit too high, but the result was good.

Good product. It fits great on outlets cut into siding on the side of a house. No problem there. There are a couple of considerations. First, You most likely need to pop out the existing and installed hard, rigid plastic plate inside the box. If you have a square outlet (example: GFI) or a rounded side outlet-pick the right black plate supplied and put it inside the box. Instructions are meager. It says snap in place but it simply fits and will be loose until you fit the eyelets over the screw heats and put down. You do not need to remove any outlet mounting screws but you do need to loosen them out a bit to fit the cover over the round screw heads and then fit the inside black plate you are using to match the design of your outlet. Everything gets moved to one direction so the screws travel into a narrower channel of the eyelet. You will see. Tighten screws. Be sure you left the back foam cover on the box. Second, before you even do anything, use needle nose or flat nose pliers to remove the punch outs for your cords. It is MUCH harder to remove the punch outs when the box is installed. It is much easier to hold the box in your hand and wiggle and pry the punch outs out. If you follow the sparse installation instructions, there is no mention of the punch outs needed to come out. Obviously there are two outlets so remove both punch outs unless you think no, you will never use two outlets at once. If you do not remove the punch outs, you cannot close the plastic cover and thus you are defeating the purpose of the cover. Third, It is a little unpleasant to snap in the clear plastic cover hinges onto the cover's hinge rods. you have to come in at the 2 o'clock position forward and push. You will have two snaps and do not panic. That means the hinges are in. There may be a small potential to break the hinges. You do not need lots of pressure. Just a small amount of firmness. The good news is once you snap your cover on, you know the drill and any other installations come easy. Be sure to install the punch outs facing down. That means you have the box right-side up

I bought this to cover my GFCI on my deck. I wanted something relatively rainproof so the GFCI wouldn't trip every time it rains. Installation was a breeze and after a couple of rain storms it has worked perfectly.
