The Evolution 1.0HP is the updated version of the once best-selling, recently discontinued Evolution Excel, which I had to replace. Unfortunately, my experience with the new model has been disappointing. The performance is average, the noise level is significantly higher than the discontinued version, and the price is almost double. Additionally, the new device's output port is 10 mm shorter and doesn't fit the original piping. I will be returning this and opting for another brand.

I bought this item "like new, used" for $193. description said damaged box. The unit was undamaged, and had never been installed. All the hardware was in unopened plastic bags, and the unit itself still had the dishwasher plug installed and stickers attached. It was a very easy install, but is a lot heavier than the old contractor grade disposal it replaced. The unit has some wiggle room, once locked in, to get it perfectly aligned. It snapped into place securely, and is very quiet for a garbage disposal. It is powerful and handles most anything you throw into it. I really like the guts are all stainless steel. It should last a long time.

I Upgraded from a 1/2 HP basic InSinkErator to this 1 HP Evolution model......There is night and day improvements in the Evolution 1 HP and so well worth the extra cost!So much quieter and chops up scraps quickly and very fine with little to no effort.The previous basic 1/2 hp model would make a huge amount of noise and took forever to chop even something simple like a banana peel.See pics for comparison of the 2 units along with the final installation of my new 1 HP Evolution InSinkErator.Installation was a simple job with minimal tools and instructions were very well done.It's so effortless and quiet you'll find yourself looking for things to grind up as it's kind of fun! LOL!A must buy IMHO......so worth the cost!

I wouldn't say this is whisper quite but it is certainly much quieter than the previous unit. Easy install and included wire harness made the job painless.

Please do not buy this in Europe. This is not a model for European market. First of all you need to understand, that you will need to buy a specific parts sold separately to even get it to work.Second:The InSinkErator Evolution 1 HP garbage disposal is designed to operate exclusively on 120 volts at 60 Hz. It is not compatible with 220-volt systems.  Attempting to connect this 120V model to a 220V power supply can result in damage to the unit and poses significant safety risks. For regions with 220V electrical systems, InSinkErator offers models specifically designed for that voltage, such as the Model 46 and Evolution 100. It’s advisable to purchase your InSinkErator product from an authorized retailer in your country to ensure compatibility with local electrical standards and to validate the warranty.

El equipo fue facil de instalar y funciona perfectamente Mucha potencia y bajo nivel de Ruido.
