I’ve used a similar, but less adjustable version of this, and the one feature the old one has, that is new product lacks, is a thin rubber layer to prevent slipping and sliding.When I go to pull my phone off, the stand slides instead of releasing my phone. I do like the ability to raise my phone up higher, and adjust the angle, but the lack of a rubber base (on both ends) might lead me to return it.The included metal ring might help someone attaching the stand to a non-metallic surface, like a cabinet, but my desktop is metal under thin wood, with magnetic items in mind, so I don’t need the ring.

This contraption does many things, including being a positionable, low-to-the-ground* stand and a selfie stick. The nice thing is that when folded, it can sit in my pocket, out of the way and unnoticed, until I need it.My two gripes are the hinges and the missed opportunity.The hinges come screwed so tight that it takes a lot of effort to unfold it. Unfortunately, the way it's been made, loosening them (you need a 2.5 mm hex wrench that's not included) allows you to go from way too tight to way too loose. There's nothing in between.The missed opportunity was leaving out Arca Swiss compatible indents on at least one of the rings so this could attach to a tripod.*The low-to-the-ground part is my main reason for using this. Photos taken from a low angle, especially with a wide-angle lens, are frequently stunning. This stand makes it easy to do that.

This phone magnetic case is good and strong enough to hold from both sides. Can be adjusted at any angle.

This rug has been a huge hit for my 1 1/2 year old! I wanted a car rug that didn’t have all the bright and obnoxious colors on it so I found this one and my son absolutely loves it! He plays on it every single day. It’s decorative and such a great play mat. Good quality too! Easy to fold to and move around as well

The actual stand itself is great because of the 360 pivoting movement in the arm, however, the pivot point exceeds the tolerance and makes the rings that are included come off, and the adhesive fail. So you will need to either upgrade the adhesive on the rings. It comes with which by the way our stark white or you will need to buy rings with stronger adhesive. I was going to add adhesive directly to the ring on the stand, but then I just used 3M two sided tape on a ring and it worked. Still not practical though.
