I couldn’t be happier with the IK Multimedia iLoud Micro Monitor Pro. These compact monitors deliver incredible performance, especially after calibration. The sound is remarkably balanced, detailed, and clear, easily rivaling monitors that cost significantly more. The built-in ARC calibration system is a game-changer. Once calibrated, the iLoud Micro Monitor Pro truly shines, offering professional-grade accuracy that punches well above its price point. The bass response is tight, the mids are precise, and the highs are crisp without being harsh.Their small size doesn’t compromise their power or clarity, making them perfect for smaller studios or portable setups. They’re also aesthetically pleasing and fit seamlessly into any workspace. If you’re looking for studio monitors that deliver exceptional value while maintaining pro-level quality, these are a no-brainer. Highly recommended!

There are better options in 2025 for small monitors. These sound ok, but they look cheap and are 200$ more expensive than what better brands have on the market.

On my journey to find suited monitors for my desk it took me 3, or 4 attempts. My problem has been that I'm super picky about white noise ("static") when there's no music playing.I started of with some KRK Rokit 5 G4. The auto-standby function on the speakers was nice. But until then i heard static white noise.During a deal I got some Adam Audio T8V. I thought the noise can't be normal for monitors. Well, I was wrong. The Adams got some even nicer sound as they get some really low bass. At this point I thought I'd just keep the Adams and be done with it (2 out of 2 had noise so it must be me...)Along came a friend and borrowed me a pair of Neumann KH 120. What can I say - of course the much smaller Neumanns couldn't provide the deep lows the Adams had. But they were a lot cleaner and there was no audible noise when there was no music playing. Perfection! If only there wouldn't be the price. So upping my budget somewhat I came to the iLoud Micro Monitor Pro. After calibrating (which is really easy) the sound out of them almost reached Neumann level. For half the price I'm very happy with them.My journey has ended and I'm a happy iLoud owner.

TL;DR. Are these speakers impossibly good given the size? Yes.One reason I decided to buy these is that I am very happy with my old iLoud portable Bluetooth speaker which is also 3" and sound way battery than a portable BT speaker is supposed to sound, let alone 3". Micro pros do sound much better than the portable thing. Both sound too good for the size.Room correction on Micro Pro is a very handy feature and worked exactly as expected. The effect is very similar to to what I experienced with larger and way more expensive systems. IMO it is must have unless the room is very well treated.I have to say I do not use these as reference monitors, so I cannot comment on how useful they are for mixing. I use them as desktop speakers and I did apply some minor sound color using X-monitor to my taste.I use them with SMSL RAW MDA1 DAC and they did not work well with RCA connection to the DAC when DAC was connected to PC by a USB cable - there was some very noticeable static noise. The problem did not exist when DAC I was using Bluetooth instead. With XLR however even when DAC is connected by the same USB cable to the same PC there is ZERO noise. While these speakers are great they do not produce bass a significantly larger drivers are capable of producing. But for their size the amount and quality of bass is impressive to the point I almost feel it in my chest (of course I do not *really* feel it, but given the quality of the bass and knowing how it sounds on higher end systems w/ subwoofer this is what body starts "feeling").

This is pretty much a useless studio monitor for me. I have a musical instrument that has only unbalanced outputs so I connect to the RCA jack on the monitor. Erroneously, the monitor takes over a second to respond when a signal over a certain threshold appears on the RCA input. FAIL!!! These are just fancy, good sounding computer speakers.
