Met my expectations; very comfortable. Only downside: no compartment for keys or other things...

It was a very good purchase for my trip to carry water and snacks for the kids, is slightly heavy once you pack water, juice and snacks but it totally worth it. I did save money not buying food at the amusement parks visited in california. It keeps all your goods cold for hours on the direct sun light.

I got tired of carrying a bulky, boxy cooler to the beach every summer, and started researching cooler backpacks. I came across several brands that got positive reviews, with IceMule being one of the top rated products on Amazon and other outdoor sites. After comparing reviews/pros and cons, I ended up buying the large size IceMule Pro, and LOVE it. I've brought it to the beach every weekend this summer, and it holds a ton of ice, cans, and food. The padded straps and insulated back feel super comfortable while wearing, and the design elements make adjusting the fit very easy. The insulation is great, and keeps things ice cold even after opening/sealing the backpack multiple times on a scorching day. Highly recommend!

Just used for the first time over a boat trip to Thailand. I used to shuttle ice from land to boat when extended periods existed between ice acquisition and getting the boat back to the boat coolers. I actually though the Mule kept ice about as well as the coolers provided by the boat charter company. Backpack is very comfortable. I also like the air inflation system - it works well and is effective. Yes, the cooler did float when filled with ice and the air fairly well filled! I went with the XL size after buying the L originally at a local REI. I'd say the XL is worth the price for the added volume you get and, no, it isn't too big at all (I am just under 6' and it was fine for me). The L seemed slightly small, hence I returned it. Next trip, I plan to use this bag as a carry on to kill two stones w/one bird and save space (though it does deflate and lay down pretty well inside another duffel for transport purposes).

I have been using this cooler for about 6 months now. It worked perfectly for the beach. Kept the drinks cold even in direct Florida sun, and the backpack aspect made getting everything to the beach a breeze. It has become our go to cooler simply because of the ease and effectiveness of it. It is big, and fully loaded can weigh quite a bit, so think about that before loading it up.
