Great fit on my 5 year old! These fit similar to the XS at Target. Has adjustable bodice and skirt detaches. Super happy with this!

Hello All, let me begin by saying my little one is not a dancer. She picked this outfit for her gymnastics class. I will split our experience with it into pros and cons. While the list of pros are more than the cons, the cons are hard to ignore.Pros:Beautiful colorsoft materialRoomy and sized accuratelyThe skirt is flowy and pretty with a length that rests about an inch or two above the kneeCons:The ruching in the front is pulled tighter by a this elastic ribbon that can be seen through and rubs on the child's chestThe area between the legs is fastened together by buttons that are uncomfortable for girlsThe material is thin and see throughSome who are crafty or have sewing skills, may be able to correct the cons.

This item is extremely well-made! The skirt is longer in the back to go over a little bums and diapers. The leotard is a dense stretchy quality fabric with great details. The leotard is 92% thick cotton jersey, and I would love to find women’s tops in this fabric! The sleeves, front neckline detail, and bow in the back are very attractive. With the exception of the cheap tags, (just cut them out) this oozes the quality of a high-end brand.I ordered a 2 to 3 year size and I received an Asian 110 cm size, which I think correlates to a 2T in the US. (110 cm is for children roughly 1.1 meters or 44 inches tall). Asian sizing for kids is actually much easier to use than US sizing, but I wish I had known this was a 110 cm size before buying because I would have gone up a size. I am not returning it because it is extremely nice!

This leotard and skirt set overall is ok, but there are some major flaws in the design. The leotard has a cottony feel, and isn't as stretchy as it could be. It features a cinch spot on the chest and snaps in the crotch--both of which are strange for a child's leotard. First of all, the cinch uses a very thick cord that is bulky and irritating where it is placed. My daughter couldn't stand it and asked me to remove it. I went to see if it could be slipped out and one side actually pulled right out--like it broke off. I had to pull the other side very hard to remove it. If you want a leotard cinched, it should come that way OR have the feature on the outside. The snaps in the crotch, while in theory convenient to not have to take the entire leotard off, are plastic and hard to open. I am afraid they are going to break--and then what?! Also, they don't offer as much coverage as a leotard that is all fabric in that area. I also worry they will break during class and then my daughter will be embarrassed, especially because undergarments aren't meant to be worn under a leotard and tights. The skirt itself is fine--a lightweight semi-transparent material. The back of the leotard is nice and the sleeves are also nice and not too fussy. However, because of the weird cinching and crotch snaps, I wouldn't buy this again or recommend it.

Pros-snap crotch buttonsIt ends thereCons-skirt hemline is uneven, see photo-strings in the inside of the front neckline to scrunch up is very bulky, this essentially makes the top unusable for my daughter-the material is more like a PJ/home tshirt, not dancewearUnfortunately I don’t recommend this set as the leotard and skirt both have issues!
