This swab is just what I needed for my oboe. Having the string on both ends is helpful in case you need to back the swab out of the instrument the way it went in. The tapered shape makes it less likely to bunch up and get stuck. Quality material and very absorbent.

It works. I like the strings on both ends. I just got my oboe today so I finally got to use my swab. It can pull through the fully assembled horn with no issues. The string at both ends would let me maneuver the swab if it did get stuck.

Works very well, does a thorough job, and not not even hint at getting caught up in the oboe. The swab is well made, looking very durable, and the silk is absorbent, and does not shed any fibers.
