Really nice planner! The paper is really thin but very bleed resistant. Even when writing with a regular pen instead of a fountain pen the ink looks so much nicer than on printer paper. It shows the shading and sheening of inks very well. The ink doesn't bleed through to the other side of the page, but you can see the writing faintly on the other side, which I think adds to the journal aesthetic. Also note that since the paper is more bleed resistant, it is less absorbent (the ink sits on top of the paper more than soaking into it), so wetter inks like rollerballs will take longer to completely dry, something like 20 or 30 seconds. It's very sturdy and the binding is very good quality. It lies flat even on the first and last few pages. In the middle of the book, it lies open completely flat, with almost no dip between the two pages, which means you can write on the left side page and rest your palm on the right side. This makes it feel more spacious and makes it a lot easier to write. The cover is thicker than the normal pages and it has an additional thick second page. It is still probably a good idea to buy a soft cover if you are going to carry it around, as the cover is still quite thin and the book is pretty bare, as it's meant to be used with a cover anyways. If you want an all-in-one hardcover book then get the Hon. Not really any point showing photos cause it looks exactly as in the pictures lol (although it looks amazing in person)The planner includes yearly calendars for the previous, current, and next year, monthly calendars for December of the previous year to March of the next year, and weekly spreads and daily pages for the current year. Note that all of the yearly calendars come first, then all the monthly ones, then weekly, and daily. It also has a lot of other random fun pages at the end.Overall, if you want a really nice journal that you will enjoy writing in and you don't mind investing more money, this is for you. Yes, it is $60 aud, but it lasts a year. It's impossible to justify functionally why you should buy this over a 5-dollar journal from Officeworks, but it's up to you whether you think that the value it brings over the year is worth more than sixty dollars. For me, it's totally worth it, it's a pleasure to write in it and it motivates me to keep writing every day. Its features, quotes, and aesthetics are something special that you just can't find anywhere else. Not to mention the community of happy users that comes with it. I use it for writing down memories, milestones, and keeping track of how my life is going like work schedules and stuff like that I think the value it brings to me, far outweighs the 60 dollars that I could have spent on 2 takeaways. This is my first year using a Hobonichi, and I will see how it goes throughout the year and see if I will buy another one next year. Hope this helps! 😊

I love the set up. Paper is smooth. I love the size because there’s room to make it your own

My new 2025 diary arrived in good time, perfect original condition, and a good price for a Hobonichi when I live in Australia. Very happy buyer!

This is my second year of using a hobonichi. I love the layout and the paper quality. I also like the fact that it's not hard covered like other diaries making it light and eco friendly.
