A Favorite With String Teachers
The importance of good rosin cannot be over-emphasized. Rosin, a sticky processed tree sap, increases the friction between the bow hair and the string. Good rosin increases the player’s control over tone, articulation and response.In general, clear or light rosins tend to be harder and less sticky than darker rosins. They usually work best in warm, humid climates. Darker, softer rosins are often preferred in cooler, drier climates. Some rosins are weather-coded.
Hidersine rosins have been produced in England since 1876 and have been a favorite with beginning string teachers in the US for decades. The Hidersine VP-031V Series 1 Violin/Viola Rosin is a good all round large rosin of student quality. This rosin is made in the UK and comes in a tin making it less likely to break. It is a light amber rosin that goes onto the bow easily and lasts well. It comes wrapped in a small piece of cloth so you can rosin your bow without getting sticky fingers.

It's my favorite rosin because it's not too heavy but mostly stays on the bow. It's not in a tin anymore. It's in a box, which I prefer. The tin was hard to open.

Es una resina de muy buena calidad, les recomiendo más esta en cajita que la que viene en lata porque luego no se puede abrir

As rosins go into categories: this one is very good. It is alcohol soluble and none too dusty. I'm a novice but it makes for a noteworthy performance. Got earplugs?
