The Handle gets extremely HOT! I nearly burned myself. and the water boils before the thermometer reaches boiling point.

I bought a NEW kettle, but got a smashed box inside of an unsmashed box (so it was known to be packed this way). No papers or instructions inside. And there are residual mineral markings inside suggesting it's been used.Overall it's a beautiful kettle and looks well made. Works well so far.We needed one quickly and we don't have time to deal with exchanges for a better review.Disappointed I paid full price for a used kettle not well packaged.

I like this kettle because it is one piece and not seemed on the bottom.. It is on the small side, but is ok to make 2 or 3 cups of coffee at once. Heats quickly on my electric range. I drink dark roast and having the thermometer is nice because I brew at about190.

This kettle is perfect. The design is gorgeous, and I love the copper coating on the outside. Rust won’t be an issue, as it’s made of stainless steel, and it holds heat well. The angled handle and gooseneck spout make for an easy, controlled, and accurate flow rate, perfect for manual brewing. AND, the lid has a built-in probe thermometer, which saves you the hassle of the post-boil countdown. All in all, this is my new favorite kettle. For those of you noting in your reviews that the wooden handle became over-hot and bubbled - I’m guessing you used the big burner. Try the little guy in back! Make sure the wood isn’t directly above a heat source - it’s heat resistant not proof. On the topic of the handle, I will note my one and only qualm: the wooden handle of this lovely kettle was notably loose out of the box, and the closeness of it to the kettle body made it difficult to tighten. A normal screwdriver won’t make that angle. If you have this issue, grab a small ratchet, pop on a 1/4 inch socket, and stick a Phillips bit in that.Anyway, this kettle is stellar. I love it, and I’d recommend it to anyone. The End.
