I ordered one of these and when it arrived in a flimsy carboard box that was damaged with the accessory kit rolling around inside the box, I thought it was a solid device, so I tried to use it anyways, it fell to pieces in minutes. I returned it as damaged and received another one. This time the box was not damaged, and I was able to get about 5 hours of use out of it before it to fell apart. I give and will buy something else. At least the motor is a strong powerful motor even though the flex shaft is easily damaged.

I regret getting it. The plastic actually melted and isn't up to the hard work that I require.

I am using this for cylinder head porting & polishing. I was previously using Dremel style handhelds which would overheat and easily burn out when using flapwheel sanders.This flexshaft grinder has been an absolute great value and I wish I had purchased it years ago. It has a lot more power behind it which has been invaluable, but do note that it will get quite hot under heavy use with the flapwheel.The attachment end is a nice size, easy enough to grip and the chuck accepts the majority of smaller bits without issue.I did take the advice of others and worked a moderate amount of wheel bearing grease into the flex shaft. Once broken-in it seems to have smoothed out and been a wise decision.

I work in a jewelry repair shop, we use these flex shaft tools all day, we usually have foredom or faro units, I thought I would try this when we had burned out footpedal on a foredom, this unit is 100% interchangeable with foredom, and sells for less than a replacement pedal.So we put it to work, its fantastic, its been a month of everyday use, handpiece is accurate, motor power is smooth, flex shaft is balanced and smooth, really great value.The only complaint is the pedal is flimsy and slippery, it moves away from your foot.. solved this with some carpet tape.But I did open it up, and the electronics are a direct fit to the foredom heavy metal pedal. so future sharing of parts is possible
