It's pretty and works very well.Can't comment on overall effectiveness other than that I've noticed no difference from a glass V60 at a casual level.I bought the Hario Air Drip Kettle to go with it.

The function of the brewer hasn’t changed. The draw down may be a little slower, but the aesthetics shows creativity and provides a smile when brewing. The ability to change the rib colors based on your like or mood is a fun touch.It feels solid enough that I don’t think it will topple over. If you flip it to dump the filter the main pedal section can separate from the base. That’s easily fixed by grabbing the filter to dispose of rather than flipping. I would love to add more colors but that adds up quickly. I wish they sold them in sets of three, six, or with the ability to bundle the colors you would like.Thanks, Hario!

Ok so this here is purely an aesthetic upgrade from the V60. Sure these is a debate that it has a slower drawdown speed, but debate is the key word, this is still a fairly new product. And filters/grind size can affect this variable too. If you are looking to get into coffee and want a fancy dripper that will forever be customizable go ahead and click that buy now button. The material is sturdy and looks so lovely! I have already gotten complements just in the first few days of having it. I’m looking forward to more colors to go along with it now
