La cafetera estaba en su paquete, todo cerrado, y llegó sin a base para filtro. Entonces no la puedo usar.

I am always sceptical about cooking with plastic. Granted, I ran vinegar and water through 5 or 6 cycles and the plastic smell is gone. Coffee tastes great. I like the settings for heat after the coffee is made. I hate over-heated coffee as it tastes burnt. This machine doesn't overheat the coffee. I set it on low or medium.The only glitch is filling the tank. Pouring water from the carafe is clumsy, however, a person can use something else to do the filling. No big deal.

Este artículo no es como se anuncia. La cafetera es de vidrio en lugar de metal. Y la olla de vidrio llegó rota y destrozada dentro del paquete.

I owned the bottom-of-the-line Hamilton Beach coffee maker for years. I was quite happy with it. It was simple, made good coffee, and was easy to use. When it finally reached end-of-life, I looked for it's current equivalent, only to discover that it had been discontinued. Almost anything I was seeing was more than double the price, which didn't excite me. But because of my experience with Hamilton Beach, I sprang for this one. I don't think I could have done any better. This coffee maker's improved design solves every minor complaint I had with my old cheap one. It makes very good coffee reliably, is easy to use, has a nice keep warm feature for when our coffee drinking drags on into the morning, and it looks stellar in my kitchen, matched with my other stainless steel appliances. I couldn't be happier. It's worth every one of the extra dollars above the old cheap one. I absolutely recommend it!

Owned and use three times a day for last three weeks - no problems thus far. Likes - Cone filter. Three adjustable temperatures and three brew strengths. Decent price. Easy to clean. Easy to set the clock and auto brew start. Pot pours nicely (no spills). Easy to add water to the tank. Dislikes - Bit slow brewing, but not overly slow. Window that shows water level starts at 6 cups. Strong blue light for the clock/timer - I no longer need to turn on the lights in my kitchen at 2 am to skulk around. I would buy again.

La cafetera es bonita, de fácil uso, le pongo el pero de que su capacidad no es de 12 tazas sino 10, y no puedes llenar mas porque tiene unos orificios en la parte posterior al deposito de agua, donde si te pasas se tira, ademas de que supongo la jarra no soporta las 12 tazas.

Programmable lighted screen very nice. Makes great coffee, nice and hot. settings are great. Fairly fast brew even on bold. Looks Great.

El diseño Melitta - específicamente la forma de cono - hace el mejor café. Hay que buscar el programa que mejor funcione para el café que uno utiliza. Y ¡el café sale caliente!

I researched coffee makers on and off for a week before I settled on this one. We strictly used Keurig makers before this, but I happen to know that the Keurig quality has really gone down since our first couple of makers. So when our latest Keurig went out, I decided to go back to a "regular ol'" coffee maker, and buy a separate thermal carafe to store what we don't drink right away. This has turned out to be a great idea. The reason I didn't buy a maker that brews into a carafe is that my experience with carafe makers is that they tend to leak when brewing. Mind, it took making about a dozen pots of coffee with the Hamilton Beach maker before the plastic taste went away (same with Keurigs), but after the maker was broken in, and we relearned how to put the correct amount of grounds per water content together, the coffee is just so, so good. It is hot, and, I don't miss the "mud" that was ever at the bottom of a single cup from our Keurig maker (we always used our own grounds). We don't need the timer or the clock - I see a lot of customers are complaining about that feature, so I don't know about that - but I wanted a unit that used a cone filter and sprayed widely over all the grounds, this one does that, and I also really, really like the brew strength option - all for an amazing price.Addition: About brew cup size, the water line does start at 6 cups, however, if you fill it to just below that line, you'll get the equivalent of approx. 2 large mugs, FYI.
