So, this is your basic, no frills toaster oven. It toasts. Slowly. It has a small footprint which is great for our limited counter space . I don’t “cook” in a toaster oven, but this can handle a baked potato or a foil wrapped left-over. The exterior gets insanely hot; be forewarned.The game changer here is the ROLL TOP DOOR!!I never knew that I needed this in my life!Easy in, easy out, easy to keep clean and I can put my plate in front of it and slide out my bagel. Small victories, ya know?

The toaster oven itself no doubt would be great. It is compact and has simple easy to use bake, broil and toast functions. My comment is regarding what looks like a small bit of rust(?) in the inside of the edge of the door, frame. And what looks like a bit of a dent in the handle. When I contacted Amazon customer service, I was told that yes, this would be considered as damaged however I would have to cover the cost of the courier (min $26) to send it back! I find this to be not right, if something arrives and it is not in perfect condition - this item was $179.71 plus tax so just over $200. cdn. the cost to return should be covered. I was told to contact Hamilton Beach now to let them know, and will see what they say. Besides all of this the unit itself would be great.

Hi! This is my second Hamilton Beach Easy Reach Toaster Oven. Bought the first one, from Amazon.com, in 2013, for our home in Florida. When we left there, after the hurricane, we took the H B with us - in our luggage, stuffed with a crock pot I didn't want to leave behind! Well, this unfortunately, caused the metal deflector which protects the heat lamp, to be bent upwards!! My bad! Yet this small appliance managed to toast bread daily, bake cakes, bread & rice pudding, biscuits,casseroles, chickens, bbq pork, pies, quiches - you name it & this machine handled it all & not just with aplomb; but while taking up very little space thanks to the roll-top door. Ergo, when I noticed it was not doing the 'broiler' thing as well as when new, it was a no-brainer to check Amazon & get another one to replace our daily use 8 y/o HB. Hope it lives up to the original!!!
