The spring on this item barely handled two undersized pieces of bread anything else would not work and the toast would stay down and burn. Item will work if watched and the toast fished out after toaster is unplugged. It is too difficult to return for the $39 I paid. Total loss.

I don't know if this is a legal CYA issue, or an ACTUAL issue, but the little manual specifically says, "To reduce risk of fire: ...Do not use with toaster pastries [PopTarts]." They are called TOASTER pastries and that's 90% of the reason I needed a toaster? Do all toasters warn against this now? I'd much rather have a toaster that doesn't threaten to burn my house down when I put a PopTart in it.

I must say this is very light weight and plastic feeling. I hope it lasts for several years. I would not expect it to last longer .I have been spoiled by having a Toastmaster chrome toaster from the 1950’s. It’s not only beautiful, but is made with metal and is very sturdy. That’s not how things are made today I know.

I spent more time than I'd like to admit reading toaster reviews before pulling the trigger on one. I've had it for two months and eat toast several times a week for breakfast. No issues to date. Other reviews had mentioned it burning one side while under-cooking the other - I've had no such issue. Also as another reviewer has stated "it's a toaster". Solid for the price point.

Works fine-but does not have a light indicating it is on
