This is perfect for your 12 year old boys - but also fits the girls - even us thinner adult women.These Haloumoning Boys Athletic 2 in 1 Shorts with Leggings are a super-great idea - especially when there is a need for "speed dressing" on-the-fly. One-step and movement - and presto!!! you are half-way dressed.The great-design set comes off as fast and easy as they go on. Making quick changes by the kids in the car, in route from point A to point is no problem. But for the boys - the shorts lack a front zipper - but for the girls this is not a requirement.Easy wash and wear fabric, all-one-piece, active-wear - is extremely durable, well-sued with just-the-right-amount of stretch. Fabric is nylon majority with nice smooth texture.Whether you buy these for the kids or yourself, you can't go wrong. I am 5'8" /118 lbs. and they fit my female frame fine.Overall, a definite bargain at Amazon's special pricing offer.

These are good for running, fitness etc. they fit well and are comfortable as well. I also like the variety of colors available.However, I do think that calling them 2 in 1 is a bit misleading, I thought that the shorts were detachable (I mostly got them for the shorts). Unfortunately, the shorts and leggings are attached and cannot be worn separately.

So got these for my 11 year old son. He likes them, but he wishes that he could separate them. They are not really 2 in 1. They are 1 in 1. You can't wear just the shorts or the leggings, they are sewed together. The 2 in 1 phrasing makes it sound like you can split them up.Other then that, they have survived a couple of washings at this point. He has worn them to gym class - its been in the 50's F here lately so it works out if he goes outside.

I bought these 2-in-1 shorts for my 9-year-old son, and he loves them! The fit is perfect, and they are comfortable for all his activities.
