the lady bug is alot better version of these, i think they only still sell these because they are in inventory, I ordered all three versions of this they make these two and the lady bug the lady bug is more comfortable and user friendly. still better than other brands of similar functionality

Not yet using the pump but the shell collector has been amazing during my first two weeks postpartum. My milk came in on day 3 and just a little bit of suction using the shell helps relieve any engorgement I have. Also I use it on the opposite breast when nursing and any let down is collected instead of wasted. I already have a decent store of transitional milk and I’m not even pumping yet. I feel this will help my supply stay strong in the weeks to come and I feel good that I’m not making as much of a mess or wasting any valuable milk!

I have been a haakaa user since day one. I had an oversupply in the beginning and it was the only way I’d get empty enough to not get clogged ducts. There’s a bit of a learning curve on how to apply the haakaa correctly but if you follow the instructions on the package (or the video in the listing) you’ll get it down in no time. I typically use it to catch my letdown while my baby nurses off the other side, though I have used it as a pump in the middle of the night in a pinch. I built my freezer stash from using a haakaa.This set was just as good as my first haakaa plus you get a collection shell. It fits right inside your bra so that baby can’t kick it off. I have found that sometimes my little guy kicks off the haakaa if I'm not paying attention, so keep that in mind as you catch your letdown while nursing off the other side.Both are made of high quality, soft, food grade silicone and are flexible and easy to clean. They’re dishwasher safe too for extra convenience. I am excited to keep them around for the next baby, as my current baby is 13 months and will be weaning soonish.These would make an excellent gift for a mom who plans on breastfeeding!

I love my haakaa! It was so nice to catch that letdown on my opposite breast and collect the foremilk for my baby. However since it’s creating suction it’s drawing milk out not just catching the letdown. It can create an overproduction which I found to be a bit intimidating to keep up with. But If I notice a decrease in supply I’ll feed on one side and use the haakaa on the other for a few feedings and then I’m back in business at the dairy farm!

I got this set to try both types of milk collectors. The new shell shaped collector is by far my favorite. It suctions just like the original but is a much more convenient shape and can fit inside your bra
