A bit thick and chunky in the finger tips. Great for the BBQ, an insensitive welding grip.

Me gusta porque resisten la temperatura un momento, debes usar doble guante pero aún usando doble guante puedes mover las manos facilmente

The HZXVOGEN 14 inches Welding Gloves are a great, heavy-duty, economical, option, especially for the beginner or hobbyist welder. My parents own a concrete company, so I grew up with a large assortment of construction related equipment which included multiple types of welders, acetylene torches, power tools, etc. As such, I spent a lot of time as a kid building and/or destroying various objects and learned the hard way how important using the proper protective gear and equipment truly is!I recently got a small, inexpensive, home ARC/MIG welder for the occasional repair or DIY project and needed to get all the customary and recommended protective gear such as the welding helmet, gloves, etc. As I do not plan on or need professional or commercial level of equipment, some of my main wants/needs are inexpensive, well0built and functional. I am glad to say that these gloves hit all three! When I was searching for some gloves, I noticed that quite a few are several inches shorter than these (at 14”) and I know from experience that those few couple of inches can be the difference between a good experience and a nasty spatter burn. The wrist/forearm section is a little stiffer than the rest of the glove and I personally like it that way. The material is heavy-duty and has worked great for the ARC and MIG welding I have done so far. With the occasional use I see for these gloves, and the quality material and build-quality, they should last for many years! If you are new and learning how to weld, or if you are a hobbyist and weld on occasion, then these are a great set of welding gloves. I actually plan on getting a couple of extra sets for when I teach my kids how to weld, so I absolutely recommend them!

Luckily for me I bought these when I got a welder off some knockoff sight on the interweb. Me and my 89year old ex circus midget Mel were attempting to assemble my new “welder” in my shop. It came in a damaged box dropped off by FedEx. There was no instructions, but Mel assured me that with his knowledge gained from 40 years in the big top, and some good old fashioned ingenuity, we could slap that baby together and have us welding in no time. So, against my wife’s better judgement, I acquiesced and we set about on what would be know in our neighborhood as “OctoberSurprise”. About 6 hours in, I thought it’d be a good idea to calm our nerves with vodka shots and some beers. A few minutes, or hours as the case may be, we got it to where Mel was confident that it was tip top and weld worthy. Skeptically, I grabbed some scrap metal that fell off Mel’s junky grandson’s low rider pickup after he backed into my fence for the nine hundred and seventy third time, and set it down in front of Mel. I donned my welding helmet and these gloves while Mel strapped what looked like aviator goggles he held a match to to smoke the lenses. He was doubtless in his abilities, so, without further adieu, he clipped the clamp to one end of the metal and picked up the wire feed gun while I plugged in the machine. To this day, no one is sure which happened first, him pulling the trigger or me plugging it in, but one thing the WHOLE NEIGHBORHOOD can agree on is the size of the mushroom cloud that blasted sideways out of my shops front bay door and down the street. My insurance company is still fighting me over the amount of stuff they say was already burned or blown up from the last time the adjuster was out here. Mel, he can’t grow facial hair or an eyebrow on his left side and my 95lb German Shepherd Josh has permanent hearing loss. Thanks to these gloves and my welding helmet, all I got was a front row seat to one hell of a light show

These gloves are almost too nice to use for welding. I wear a Large mens glove and these fit me with room to spare. My hand measures 9" diameter around the palm where they always show measuring for glove fit. I like the fit. I don't have large forearms.I used these for stick welding and they work great for keeping sparks off. No issues with them getting dirty or catching on fire. They are really well made. I'm impressed with the rugged material and strength of the stitching. There's a smell but it's really weak compared to a lot of the treated welding gear I have. The odor is light and that of leather and dye. I have hyperosmia so I am really sensitive when it comes to smell. I've had to put some new shoes outside because I can't take the scent of the glue. Don't feel bad for me - I roast excellent coffee because I can smell what temperatures are best. If these had a strong smell I would certainly point it out.
