I have a female unfixed puppy. And I would like to avoid problems. This is almost perfect except that my dog is extraordinarily wooly with a very thick coat livestock Guardian breed. The tail hole just isn't big enough to accommodate the fluffy tail and number to toilet simultaneously I simply need a bigger tail hole the fit is perfect otherwise. If you have a thin coated girl dog I'm sure this product is a five-star product for you. All other features are exactly as stated just the problem of fit on an especially fluffy dog.

Works great to prevent mating. I see some people buying to use as a diaper-that is not what this is for, this is for when your female reaches estrus and is ready to MATE. She may be still lightly spotting during this time but will no longer be heavily bleeding. The velcro stayed strong after 3 washes so far, my male nor her can get it off. When measured appropriately, the hole for defecation is wide enough, and very easy to clean, comfortable and left no irriation on my pup. Highly recommend.

We have a GSD that weighs 60 pounds and purchased the x-large in the hopes of keeping her separated from the males during her first heat cycle. It does that job just fine, however, the tail hole isn't large enough, the harness shifts and twice now, she's pooped inside of it. What a mess to clean up. This is a definite design flaw. If you purchase it, make sure to take it off several times a day so your pooch can do number 2 unimpeded.

This definitely helps keep our male at bay. He can still be around her and do their social mating actions. Doesn't fully keep the menstrual fluids from getting everywhere but helps. Not that great for when she needs to go number 2. Tail hole needs to be a little bigger or more of an oval shape to fully keep product from getting messy. It stays on her without a problem, not too tight on the inside of the legs. We still take precautions because nothing is 100% full proof other than complete separation from male and female. Would recommend if you have a male dog and still want them to have their social interactions, just keep an eye on them and be responsible.
