This little set is great. Essentially two bowls and a lid with an insulated wrap (sadly now downgraded to foam from neoprene). It proved really useful on a recent camping trip. When all together with one bowl inside the other with the insulting wrap in-betweenand the lid it proved great at keeping food warmer for longer. The lid also means you can store things like folding cutlery, a lighter etc in it for carrying. Despite the downgrade from neoprene I still recommend this set.

These are great little bowls, light and sturdy. they do have "ml" markings inside to measure. If your using something heavy or hot I recommend keeping the bowls together with the insulator in between. I used the bowl by itself to measure boiling water for a dehydrated meal and the bowl felt hot and a little flimsy when full to the brim with boiling water. Together was much better. I already have 2 of these sets that came with my GSI Pinnacle Dualist kit, but needed an extra one for family camping as we were one bowl short last outing.Over all I would HIGHLY recommend these bowls, they work great.

These bowl sets are great and were the final piece I needed for my own DIY backpacking mess kit. They fit like a glove into my MSR 1.1L stowaway pot, and I store other eating items inside of the bowls as well. The insulation is a good idea as well as the combo strainer/cup lid. The plastic bowls are obviously lightly constructed but they should last a long time. And all these items fit compactly into a single unit. These sets are included in a lot of complete mess kits offered by GSi, but I wasn't going to get stuck with a bunch of extra stuff that I didn't want. Luckily amazon was one of the few places I found that sold these separately, and they are very reasonably priced. None of my local outdoor stores, which all sell tons of other GSi products, sold these.
