I ordered this $50 Grosche model GR-579 gooseneck kettle (Amazon ASIN B0DRMT4PS7) because I like the ability for carefully measured pour-over coffee where the grounds are saturated evenly & precisely; but I was unexpectedly blindsided by the exaggerated claims of the volume that this kettle boils - which distracted me from the inherent beauty of a pour-over kettle.No wonder they don't stamp into the metal an internal fill line, as the actual filling point is only 3 cups (24 ounces, or about 700 milliliters) because anything higher than that will "pour" boiling hot water all over your stovetop through that beautifully graceful gooseneck pouring spout. Ask me how I know this.To further confuse the matter, the box itself claims both a 34 fluid ounce (1,000 milliliter) "boiling capacity" (which the Amazon listing also claims), and a larger "full capacity" of 42 fluid ounces (1,200 milliliters).What's clear, to me, is that the boiling capacity is no more than 32 ounces as anything more will make a boiling hot mess of your stovetop because the drip kettle turns into a gush kettle, of sorts, while it's on the burners.Other than that, this specialized pour-over 18/8 stainless steel drip kettle is claimed to be suitable for induction cookers, which is what I used in my tests, and that worked perfectly. (Another name for 18/8 stainless steel is "304 stainless steel) which is 18 percent chromium (which is what makes steel stainless) and 8 percent nickel, which provides resistance to corrosion).In my tests, it weighed, empty, 583 grams (about 1 pound 4-1/2 ounces) with the top on. Also it's very nice to have the thermometer in the top, which is a nice convenience. But, of course, the entire allure of this kettle is the temperature control and the measured pouring, which, if you're impatient, will likely be infuriating to some, but I love being able to control the volume. Can't you tell?In summary, it's a nicely designed drip kettle for pour-over coffee, but it does not boil the amount claimed. I hope this heartfelt effort at providing a reliably detailed fact-based review has earned your respect in helping you make a more informed purchasing decision

Je l'ai reçue au jour fixé. Excellent service. Cette bouilloire est élégante. j'aime aussi le côté social (procurer de l'eau). Et je peux l'utiliser sur une plaque à induction.

Great styling. Well made. Especially like that it was made in Canada. Love my neighbor to the north. Only tip is don’t fill too much. Water will spit out of spout. Not taking any stars off for that though.Thermometer is very handy for my pour over brew.I also like the at the give back.

Works great than using it every morning since we got it you filled out an inch and a half from the top you’ll get 2 cups of coffee

I like the style of the kettle, as it looks great on my stovetop. The only slight issue is that it does not whistle, so you have to keep an eye on it. However, it does heat up very fast, so not too much of an issue. Has an elegant pour.
