I shoot all the time and was tired of normal head phones due to always having to remove them to hear someone talk, don't need to do that anymore they will cancel gunfire within a mil sec.

GREEN DEVIL Shooting Ear Protection Electronic Noise ReductionThis item included the ear protectors with small Velcro flag patches, two AAA batteries, a 3.5mm audio cable, an instruction/information booklet, and a microfiber drawstring storage bag.I read through the manual to get familiarized, and installed the batteries, (in the left side ear muff battery holder) and tried these on.I was impressed with how quiet they were turned off, really blocked ambient noise. I had no idea my wife was talking to me.By turning on the big rotating knob on the right side, you can magnify ambient noises, like a hearing aid. At the highest setting, it was picking up sounds of things I normally never notice, computer fans, hard drive clicking, fridge noises, etc.. Also, at the highest setting there was a background whooshing, not too loud, but steady and persistent.The input microphones on the two sides give you directional stereo sounds- you can tell what direction the sound is coming from.I have not tried the aux audio input. I do not have any device that uses the 3.5mm jack anymore. This device does not have Bluetooth. (Many other higher-end ear muffs do).I found this device to be comfortable to wear for an extended time (over an hour). Which is good, I have an enormous head, and other earmuffs I have worn get too clamp-y and painful after a while. I also tried it wearing shooting glasses. Wearing any kind of glasses/earpieces with earmuff type protectors can reduce their effectiveness because they do not form a tight seal against your head. I found no difference in noise reduction. (in my case..)While these ear muffs are slim, they DO interfere (slightly) with shouldering a rifle and getting a cheek weld. I tried it. I found that if I position the right-side muff as high as possible while still keeping a seal and coverage over my ear, it is not in the way. It still makes slight contact. I may add a small piece of foam tape to the bottom of the right ear muff to lessen the contact noise.Searching the internet, I do not find any source for replacement ear pads for this brand, for future longevity.When I do some shooting, and give this an actual load test of its noise cancelling abilities, I may update my review.For now, based on features and price (which I think is good) I give it 4 stars

It is easy to muffle sounds if you want to use in ear plugs or ear muffs or, even better, double up. This is not always ideal if you are hunting and are in a stand or a blind and need to hear every leaf rustle or snort. Because of this, hearing protection is usually a low priority for most hunters. With these ear muffs, you no longer have to compromise hearing damage over missing that monster buck or gobbler.I will admit that I was skeptical of the performance of these since I have never used any electronic hearing protection before. To test them, I decided to use a lever action 22lr that I can stand to shoot without hearing protection, just in case they were as good as having nothing at all. I put them on, turn the volume all the way up and I can hear ambient noises better than without them. I shoulder the rifle, aim, and pull the trigger. I can hear the ping of the hammer striking the firing pin and then the echo of the shot. The actual shot was completely dampened.I am truly impressed with the technology that is built into these and at this price point, I may buy a few more pair for when friends and family want to shoot with me. It's always hard to have conversations at the range and the time that it takes to put plugs in and out and ask them to repeat things burns up a lot of the range time. These are a game changer.I have not tried these with larger calibers, yet, but I have no reason to suspect that they would not work as well as they did with the 22lr. I have no way of testing whether the 0.02 second reaction time is accurate or not, but it is as close to instant as I can tell. I do not know how these would work in a constantly loud environment, like a factory or airport. Everything appears to be good quality and should last a long time.Overall, I highly recommend these for anyone that shoots guns.
