These silicone straw extenders are pretty cool, they were easy to attach to the straw and they stay on just fine, the extenders also came with a silicone piece that attaches to the bottom of the straw to keep the bottom of the straw slightly elevated off the bottom of the cup, so the bottom of the cup and or the ice cubes won't block the bottom of the straw, overall these silicone extenders fit and work with my metal straws just fine.

So far so good. I had to order new metal straws before I could use these as mine were way too skinny. Once I got it assembled (both top and bottom on) I realized that the bottom piece keeps the straw from fitting inside my lid. This is an easy enough fix as the pieces just pop on and off. Slight pain for changing out straws or taking them out daily to clean, but it beats that awful sound/feeling of the metal on metal scrapping in the cup. The mouth piece of the straw seems pretty secure and I would not worry about it coming off unintentionally.
