This is my first hammock. I've used it probably ten nights since I got it. Aonita not been through the paces.... But. I like it. It works well. I thought the bug net not being detachable would annoy meBut flipping the hammock is no big deal. And the bug net bungies keep the net far enough away from me that it felt like there was plenty of room. It was comfortable, sturdy, easy to set up. I am a hammock convert

Very nice product for the price and Grand Trunk are well regarded in the US. Comes with a built-in bug net and pretty much every accessory you need to get going. Set-up is a breeze compared to some hammocks on the market like Hennessy. The only small issues are that the hammock bug net doesn't zip all the way down to the end and you really need to buy some additional tree straps. The included carabiners are also a little heavy.

This is one of the best backpacking and general camping purchases I have made in a long time. I'm now a firm believer in the art of hammock camping. I'm a big guy - 6'1" and 240lbs - and I have no issues at all fitting into and sleeping like a baby in this hammock. Deployment and take-down are now both done within 1 minute (using the separately-purchased Hennessy Snakeskins - XL). I feel stable and secure in this hammock even at my weight, and once you learn how to hang it right and how to lay in it offset, you can actually lay flat. I don't mind the slight curve of a hammock as it cradles you when laying end to end, but just offset yourself and you'll feel your back rise and before you know it you're laying flat like you're in a regular bed.Pros:- I bought this for it's weight capacity and because it had the built-in no-see-um bug mesh. Design fit was perfect- Comes ready to set up. All you need are tree straps or some other suspension system to make hanging even easier. The provided rope is enough to do the job on smaller trees, but consider a better strap system to protect trees and making deployment much faster- Strong material - holds my weight without stretching or straining- Included stitched-on stabilizer loops on the bottom of each side of the hammock for attaching guy lines to the ground, making the hammock more stable or just for holding it spread open more- Comes with enough elastic cordage to suspend the netting in multiple different ways- This thing is big. It's not really designed for 2 people, but it fits me great. I have room above my head and beyond my feet to really stretch out, and the width is more than sufficient for even the broadest-shouldered men to sleep in without being crammed. It's also wide enough to grab the sides and wrap it around yourself like a cocoon if you need to.Cons:- The bug mesh is great, but you need to get crafty with it to keep it out of your way at night. Make sure to suspend the mesh ONLY with a flexible expandable cordage (like what is provided) so when you get in your hammock and it pulls down, it doesn't tear this mesh. I also use some 2' small sticks to hold the 2 sides of the mesh apart a bit, preventing mesh sag on me when I sleep. Not a big deal, but you'll figure it out- As with all hammocks, if you're in cold temperatures and the wind kicks up, then you're in for a cold night if you don't have the proper layers beneath you. Not a take-away from this hammock specifically, but I would be in heaven if this hammock were double-layered in some way to be able to slip some insulation between the two. I just bought a Goretex bivvy that is wind/waterproof to put over my sleeping bag when I know it's going to be cold/windy out. Problem solved.I have been taking this hammock with me on local hikes when I know I'll have trees to set it up at the end. There's nothing better than getting outdoors to explore a new area, and once you've arrived you have a fast way to set up off the bugs and take a very comfortable, bug-free break. I couldn't be happier with this product.

I bought this hammock as a gift and at the same time bought some decent rope and a couple of decent carabiners, fully expecting the hammock to have the usual questionable rigging of parachute cord and sketchy hardware. I was pleasantly surprised to find the ropes and hardware up to the task. My only complaint is that the main ropes, which would attach to a tree, don't allow for a lot of variation in the distance between trees. I changed them for some longer ropes and slings to allow more adjustability. The bug screen is nice, very fine mesh to keep out little biters, and zippered the full length of the hammock. When the net is suspended above the hammock using the shock cord provided, you are well protected. Add a rain cover (not included) and you're set to enjoy hammock camping.Since my initial review, the hammock has been used on four or five camping trips by my nephew, who finds it comfortable and quick to set up. He's 6'4", so it would appear that this hammock is amply long even for taller users.
