This is a high quality retractable clothes line well designed to hold drying laundry and then move out of the way by easily retracting it into itself. The retractable cord is very sturdy, locks taut, and does not stretch out of shape. I had hoped to install this in the laundry room above the washer & dryer space—on the sides of upper wooden cabinets, but the included wood screws are too long and would have drilled through the cabinet wood sides too far and poked through the inside of the cabinet. Instead, we installed it in drywall with the included screws and drywall wall anchors, using our own drill, hammer, and screwdriver. Overall, this is a great solution for increasing the space for air drying laundry.

This line is so convenient. I wanted to run a clothesline between posts on my back porch, but I didn't want to have it there permanently because we walk through the same space. This is the perfect item to address what I need.

When I get home, I have two chairs in my bedroom that I put my sweat soaked gym clothes on the back of. They take up space and I had though to put a clothes line in my room. This product was just what I wanted.I took out the instructions and skimmed them, then it hit me, there is a lot of missing information, like what size holes to pre-drill. I did 1/4"At first I thought the anchors weren't going to hold well in just drywall and they should have suggested going into a stud. However I didn't have any where I wanted it and so far it is fine. Again, I'm just putting some rather large sweat soaked clothes on them.It also doesn't mention anything about the older, how do you open it? Which way do you orientate it? It should be obvious by to tell someone to pry at the two cutouts to get the top off, and to make sure you put the smaller port of the hole on the bottom, doesn't take much and should be done.Though the line is said to be stainless steel, I'm not putting my clothes on it directly, they are hold be clips that hang from the line. This model says it holds 20lbs, I don't think we're talking about soaking we clothes, and at a little over 13ft of line, maybe not a full load.I didn't scan the QR code and visit the tip site. I have a tip for you. Forget clothes pins, go to the home center and get some hand springs. NOT metal one, get plastic ones with rubber/plastic tips At most they are a buck a piece or I got a bundle of 22 for $12. They'll clip your items more quickly and easily than clothes pins, and you'll find fancier, more expensive versions that are just hand springs.

Seems to work well. The line tightening feature of the Max is nice! Worth the extra spend in my opinion.

So happy with this!!! We installed it between two wooden poles on our back porch and use it to hang pool towels to dry. I’ve also used it hang dry my minky blankets when the weather allows. It’s very high quality and the string retracts smoothly. It was simple to install and is fairly inconspicuous when not in use.I highly recommend!
