These make taping very easy you just need to mix the mud with a little bit of water and then set the flow of mud just right not to much just enough to cover the tape evenly then your off and running!!

This has helped me and my husband with a lot of projects in our home. It got the job done and I think it was worth the buy.

Looks like it's well constructed... solid, with nice tight lid and latches... but unfortunately it cannot accommodate a 250' roll of fibafuse. I can't comment on how well it works since I've never used it, but I notice a couple of potential problems with the design compared with my old faithful Kraft banjo. First, the tape gets dragged over a sharp edge to exit the box... wet paper could tear and fibafuse could fray. Second there's a gap between the mud compartment and the tape roll... it's going to leak in there. Last 2 photos are my old banjo showing sealed mud box and smooth exit. This might be good for small jobs, but I'm not going to be able to use it with the tape I like.

I bought this hoping to speed up jobs I would otherwise have to tape by hand. It wasn't all the intuitive and I had to watch a few YouTube videos to see how someone who's comfortable with this would use it.My biggest complaint is the compartment that holds the mud isn't entirely sealed off so if your a professional taper you know your mud needs to be thin or your wrists will be paying the price. But with thin mud it just oozes through this opening and soon the whole roll of tape is ingulfed in mud.And speaking of which it says it can hold a 500 ft roll of tape. Which is true.. but it's so snug it doesn't roll freely. I have to either use up a good 60 ft of the roll to bring to a size that turns freely or buy the half rolls.All in all it's worth the price tag and I do feel like with a little tweaking and practice I can get this machine working with me and not against me. But don't expect to pop this out of the box and not struggle initially.
