This battery charger works as expected. It was able to charge both an LiIon 18650 cell that I have and a NiMH AA. It's nice that the charger can auto select the battery charging based on the measured voltage of your low battery (no buttons pressed to switch between types). I just wished it had more bays (I'm used to 4). The sliding spring to adjust the size seems strong enough without being an issue to use. I don't like how the screen goes dark after a time and you have to press a button to be able to read the screen, but I guess that saves power. Good value, as there are some pricier name brands in the segment.

For the price, this thing is ridiculous. Adjustable in size and output, plenty of smarts, good efficiency, and simple yet effective design.I wanted to give it a proper test, not some pampered brand new cell walk in the park. The ones I tested were found in an abandoned knockoff tool pack left at the local recycling center, then neglected for the past 4 months after I harvested what I needed. They started at 2.7V, so below dead. This charger recognized their status, type, and automatically limped them back to life. I was expecting some heat and drama, but instead just got a steady revival. The charger does come with directions, but to me a charger should be intuitive, so I skipped them. Just pressing buttons I was able to switch between chambers, cell type, charge rates, and a few other features. Nice little rig, and substantially better than my old single-slot charger with no smarts and a red-to-green LED indicator. The crazy thing is this high[ish] tech charger didn’t cost much more than the most basic/junk chargers.

This works so well. I absolutely love the safety functions built into it as well. That was one of the main reasons I always stuck with disposable batteries--because the idea of doing something wrong and it blowing up made me so nervous. Now, with this charger and my new batteries, I can't wait to see the savings start to add up, and in return, add less waste to the world unnecessarily. No issues at all, great value and investment for the price, and seems like it'll last me many years to come.

We have two tactical flashlights that take the larger 3.7v batteries. We already have a charger for the batteries, but as we use these lights a lot when we are camping in our Travel Trailer, we always need to take the charger, just in case the batteries die. I was looking for another option so we can have one to keep with the camper, and came across this option. I ordered it up and it arrived in a few days.I really love this charger. I loved to see that is automatically detects the correct battery in the charger, then shows the battery percentage, mAhs, voltage, etc. This option comes with an actual charging cable, unlike the other one I have, which used a USB cable with no charging block. The charger also appears to be built well and should hold up with repeated useage. The display is bright and easy to read and not in small print, although I would prefer the display to stay on longer but it’s easy enough to press a button to turn it on.I was able to try this out with a C battery at 1.2v and it worked just fine. The two buttons on the top of the charge allows you to select which battery you are monitoring, along with changing the battery type. The instructions provided are easy to understand, but I would prefer a bit larger print with my older eyes. For the price point and all the batteries this can charge, we will keeping this charger at home and sending our original one with the camper. I hope this holds up for the long haul and will be sure to update this post in the future if it does not hold up as expected.

This is a decent single function (CHARGE only) 2-slot battery charger that seems reasonably well made and works as expected without issues. It supports most, if not all, of the typical Ni-MH (or Ni-Cd if you still use those and you really shouldn't be) batteries of various sizes (A to C), and most of the Li-ion batteries rated at 3.7V/3.8V (some of the common ones are 18650 or 26650 etc) as well as those rated at 3.2V (LiFePO4). The maximum supported length of the battery is 70mm and as long as it can fit and are one of the supported voltages, it will probably work just fine.≡ NoteThis charger can be provided power via A/C outlet directly using the supplied cable (IEC 60320 C7) or via a DC/barrel connector with 12V as input.I've owned quite a few of these (just over 3 dozens) battery chargers over the years ranging from the ones with fine adjustment of voltage/ampere with IPS graphical display to the ordinary set-it-and-forget-it ones, and this one is fairly decent given its overall features, performance, and a LCD display that's easy to use. I like that it's fairly compact and small which I do appreciate and indeed it's quite versatile and capable of charging just about all of the common rechargeable batteries; however, it doesn't have a test function that some others do which is a bit of a bummer. To start with, in addition to the various battery types it supports, it can charge batteries at 3 different current levels (0.5A, 1A, and 2A) although levels aren't manually configured and it's automatically determined and set by the charger. Since it's maxed out at 12W for input, 1000 mA is the max current for 2x Li-ion batteries to be charged simultaneously and 500 mA is the max for 2x NiMH/NiCD batteries. Btw, you can manually set the charging current by pressing down both buttons at the same time.Note that 1000 mA charging (per battery) is possible ONLY when 2x batteries (any combo of 3.xV) are inserted into the charger, and 2000 mA is ONLY possible when a single Lithium battery is placed in slot #2 without any other battery present in the charger. Also, 1.2V NiMH/NiCD batteries are limited to a maximum of 500 mA whether 1 or 2 batteries are being charged. With the being said, the normal rule of thumb is 0.1C which is 10% of the rated mAh so for a 2450 mAh (2.45Ah) AA battery as an example, the ideal charging rate is 0.245A which is less than the max 500 mA it's capable of, so it's still reasonably efficient even when both slots are in use.Keep in mind that the display will timeout (i.e. dim) in 30 sec (non-configurable) after the last key press, and the charging voltage can be set (to 3.2V, 3.8V, or 3.7V) if a lithium battery is placed in any of the 2 slots by a single press of the button corresponding to the slot number until it reaches the desired voltage.≡ ValueAll things considered, this is a decent 2-slot Ni-MH (1.2v) and Li-ion (3.7V/3.8V/3.2V) battery charger that's well made and works as expected without issues. It's somewhat reasonably priced at $28 for what it provides and its overall build quality, features, usability, and performance. It would've been great if this can be provided power via USB-C along with a higher combined charging power (i.e. 20W instead of ~12W).
