I got these because I'm a bit clumsy and needed something that was shatter proof. These fit the bill. They look pretty and are super sturdy. I dropped one by accident and it didn't break or chip. They are not microwave safe so you would have to heat you food in another container. They are dishwasher safe and I have used the bottom rack with no issues. I don't see any scratches for using a fork or knife and they are stain resistant. I like the rim on the plates and the pasta bowls great for rice too. The soup/cereal bowls are deep and hold a lot. I would use a placemat or hot pad if you put hot food on them as they can get a bit warm to touch.

The color is great, just as pictured. I ordered two sets and they still fit in my cupboard! I only wish they could go in microwave. That was hard to give up and my husband hates that I picked looks over functionUpdate: these are only used weekends at our lake home. Used the dishwasher. After a few uses right away all the plates were scratched from using knives and didn't look nice. After a month several of the bowels had hairline cracks in the bottom. Then 5 months later we opened the cupboard and found 5 had exploded. A month later, out of 12, I only have one bowl left, and most pasta dishes are broken.The company says its the dishwasher. Do these are truly only hand wash and not scratch resistant. Limited use only. I am trying to get a refund on the 4 sets I ended up buying. Such a bummer.

They're made of unbreakable melamine, but these are the only melamine dishes I've found that LOOK like stoneware and are as beautiful as they are durable. I was so happy with the first set I bought I ordered a second set! I wish there were matching mugs and soup mugs...but you can't have everything.

When they arrived one of the bowls was cracked. After a dozen uses, handwash only, (and not dropped), half of them are now cracked.Put two bowls in the top shelf of the dishwater on low temp and their solid has gone mottled.Don't waste your money on this cheap garbage
