I ordered this to help keep track of my Garmin InReach mini 2. This thing works fine. It holds the GPS ok, but it must clamp directly to the GPS. This means it will not work if you have a silicone cover over your GPS. I keep a silicone cover on my GPS to help protect it, so this tether doesn't really work for me, but it may work better for you. The cable lanyard is nice and seem sturdy. Four stars.

I couldn’t ask for something better to attach to my hiking pack. This works really well. With my Garmin InReach.

This is very basic, but it works. I dinged a star because I'm struggling to rotate it in and out of the lock, but at the same time, I suspect that if it was easier, it would accidentally separate itself. I appreciate that it works with a "holster" that snaps around my inReach Mini 2, rather than needing a whole thing screwed onto the back like the Garmin branded one.J.Ja

This has been an absolute blessing! We are relatively new to hiking and recently invested in a Garmin Mini to ensure that we are safe "in the wild". The problem was where to put it? Keeping it safely in a pack is not realistic, as it may not be accessible in the event of an emergency, but not all of our packs have hip or shoulder strap pockets. This solves our problem and ensures our safety! It has a velcro strap that easily moves from one pack to another as needed but is strong enough to hold be very secure. The Garmin snaps securely into the holster, which is easily removed from the portion that remains on your pack with a swivel. You can twist it into either a vertical or horizontal position to suit your pack setup or easily remove it when needed. It also has a coiled tether so clip onto the main holster or another portion of your pack to ensure it isn't dropped during use or accidental "deployment" from the holster. It is pictured on a women's REI Flash 22 for size comparison. We tested it out on our weekend hike and did not encounter one issue or concern, but felt very safe knowing our Garmin was with us as we ventured into the Tillamook Forest.
