This review is for the "GEARWRENCH 6" Mechanic's Bench Vise with Anvil | GWBVA6 (6")".This 6" vice is heavy and heavy duty. There are no hollow spaces or other cutouts to ease the weight, which is a good thing as it becomes a very solid and durable bit of kit. Once mounted, it tackles anything I can throw at it. It's simple, clean, and effective.At the point I need a bigger, or smaller, vice, I'd go with this one again.

This Gearwrench Vice is top quality and works well. It is also big and heavy. It takes up more space than I expected and isn’t easily portable due to its weight. Can’t complain, just check the specifications .

Loving this tabletop vice. Banging around equipment and tools against this vice has cause it no issues. Mounted to a countertop in the garage, it's very sturdy and the weight helps it be well distributed so it hopefully won't wear against the bolts over time.

This vise is awesome and I really like it. The amount of force you can exert on the jaws is extremely impressive and the pipe jaws have come in very handy with some large bronze fittings I’ve been working with. I’ve even temporarily added length of pipe over the end of the handle to exert as much force as I needed on the jaws, and nothing gave up or bent. The base rotates into nearly any position and be firmly secured, which makes using this vise easy. The orange coating is holding up very well over the last few months, and the polished handle still looks like new. I keep the vise coated with a light coat of oil to preserve the finish, and I expect this vise to last for many years.There are five different vises I’ve been using over the last few years in various sizes and for different projects I’ve been working on, and this vise is by far my favorite. I told my son he is welcome to take my old vise, but this one is mine.
