Bottle arrived leaking in the ziplock bag. No sponge or instructions included. I have cleaned my GE ice machine multiple times and it just kept screeching and I was ready to give up. Found this cleaning solvent and used this running multiple cycles over 18 hours and my ice machine is working again. Hope it last!

This product is as described. The price is high, but at least you get two washes out of a single bottle. I clean my Opal Ice Maker fairly regularly with hot water and bleach, but it's necessary to do a deeper clean at least once or twice a year, and that's when I use this product.I did not have any issues with the product being damaged in shipping. Will purchase again.

Overpriced, but worked to get GE OPAL ice maker working again. I have been cleaning the ice maker using an overnight distilled white vinegar cycle approximate once every two months. All of a sudden, the 1-year-old ice maker would stop making ice after a short time, giving a false indication of a low water level. Even after multiple vinegar cleaning attempts the problem persisted. After using the OPAL cleaning solution, the ice maker is working normally.

Like the MANY other reviews... bottle wasn't sealed well and most of it was in the baggie they placed it in.Seems to be a problem GE doesn't seem to worried about or it would have been sorted by now. It's not a problem with the USPS nor UPS as they box has a sticker with 2 arrows pointing up and the bottle and the baggie were placed opposite of that within the box.30 bucks for 5 oz of liquid is steep and made worse when you see most of it is no longer in the bottle. I won't be buying this again.

I left my ice maker go longer than I should have for cleaning out the mineral deposits. I used this per the instructions it comes with and it did the job great! If you have bad buildup of mineral deposits like I did, I definitely recommend letting it do it's job for the full 18 hours it states in the directions. While my instructions were not clear on this, I did run it about half of the time in "making ice" mode to get the chemical into that area. The other half, I had the sponge soaked and sitting up in the machine where the ice drops out, resoaking it every once in awhile. Once I drained the machine, I ran several cycles of ice, throwing away the ice to ensure the chemical has been removed from the system.
