The item itself is fine, looks retro, red and shiny and works great for a smaller microwave. But, ordered days before Thanksgiving, it was oddly delayed in shipping/ communication about the shipping. Just when I had given up and was about to cancel/ request a refund -it showed up on Dec 2nd.

I got this for remote use on solar power. I would've preferred it to be the 700w it claims on the box. It drains my battery so fast... I can heat a 16oz bottle of water in about 5m. That is what I expect from a 700w but seems too slow for a 1250w. 4min for a 3oz bag of popcorn. It's cute and works so I won't return it. But if you want an actual 700w this isn't it. If you just want a small unit for home or office... This one is good but is much slower than a 1500w (my 1500w pops 3oz popcorn in 1.5 min).

Great deal, pretty, sturdy, but a little hard to setup with buttons, took me a little while to set-up clock but I eventually got it 😉

Before the laundry list of complaints, let me say I like it, and I'm keeping it.The first thing on the negative side is the writing is tiny black letters on a dark red finish. I actually had to put white gaffer tape on the front with marker to say what the controls do. If you are over 12, you will likely not be able to read what is written above the buttons.Secondly, it is not nearly as powerful it seems, as the one it is replacing. So it takes a lot longer to do the same jobs.What is interesting, is that my older more powerful microwave, which took up WAY more room on the counter, would always cook a portion of everything I was defrosting, which I didn't like. Although this one is way slower, and it auto-stops about 60% of the way into the time for you to check it and turn it over, and hit the start button again, when its defrosted, its perfect for cooking.It is worth the extra couple of minutes.Also, it looks great. People have actually stopped to look at it and one guy took a picture to get one for his wife.So it has a small footprint on the counter, it defrosts slowly, but well, you have to find a way to mark the buttons so you can read them, it looks great, and its slightly under a hundred dollars. For a home with one or two people it makes a good choice.
