Been using this palette for about a month and honestly I have zero complaints, it comes with two sponges and plenty of paper, it holds water really good and im able to leave my pallet for a couple of days without use and not having to worry about it drying or anything like that. I’d recommend it!

This wet paint tray palette comes with three sections that are all useful for miniature painting or small painting crafts. I am mainly using it for acrylic paints, and it works wonderfully for them. I do make sure to clean out the dry palettes right after use, so the paint does not stain the plastic. For the wet palette on the bottom, the wet sponges stay wet for an extended time, and it is easy to add a little more water if I need a longer time to get back to the project, so the paint does not dry out.It does come with a 50-pack of wet paper to use, and they measure 8-1/2" x 6-3/16" with rounded corners, and I was able to find replacement paper for this kit that was listed at 8.6" x 6.2" that came in either a 100pk or a 50pk with 2 replacement sponges. I do wish that the three sections of the palette held together with something besides the blue stretchy band that goes around it since with the band on the palette rocks or doesn't sit flat when not in use. I guess they could have also provided two straps, one for each end, so that it would then be flat when closed up. With that being said though and with having plenty of wet paper available, I look forward to using this wet tray palette kit for a long time.

For years I've been using various containers as makeshift wet palettes so I figured it was time for an upgrade!I tried it out while painting a gaming miniature with soft bodied acrylics and it worked really well with keeping my paint moist during painting as well as in-between sessions. I like to mix paint on the pallette itself and it worked fine with that, but I also tried out the paint wells on the other trays.I like that it has multiple trays so you can use some for mixing paint, adding water, or storing brushes. I like that it comes with two different kinds of sponges and a pack of wax like paper. A big tip for getting the paper to stick is to make sure the sponge is pretty saturated with water and rinse the sheet with water as well. I used a little silicone squeegee to get rid of any bubbles, but you could probably just use your hands.The few downsides for me are that first, its a pretty big pallette so I'm not sure if you'd want to use it for travel. It works perfect for me, but be sure to measure it. The only other complaint is that the plastic in the paint wells can get stained really easily from acrylic paint. I did clean it with rubbing alcohol as much as I could, but its kind of a bummer!Overall though, I feel that this is a good purchase for a high quality wet pallette!

I'm a neurodivergent artist with a very strong too-much-gene. Everything is too much, including the amount of paint I put on my pallet when making my art. I don't even know how it happens, but I always end up with so much paint left over! I've tried lots of options to preserve that paint, covering my trays with aluminum foil or plastic wrap, even painter's tape. None of them work for long. But with this, I can come back and use my paint several days later! I'm loving this, with all the papers, foam, tray, and brush holder. It's bigger than I expected too, which is a nice surprise.How I rate items:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 Stars – ExcellentExactly what it claims to be (or better). High quality, reliable, and performs as promised. Would happily buy or use again.⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4 Stars – Solid ProductWorks well and meets expectations. A few minor flaws, but overall a good product. Would recommend to most people.⭐⭐⭐ 3 Stars – Just OkayIt works, but it’s mediocre. Might be worth it for the price or a specific need, but it didn’t impress. Some noticeable issues.⭐⭐ 2 Stars – Major IssuesIt functions somewhat, but has serious flaws, poor quality, or doesn’t do what it promises. Wouldn’t recommend unless you’re desperate.⭐ 1 Star – UnacceptableThe product is completely unusable, defective, misleading, or broke almost immediately. Not worth anyone’s time or money.

I had one of these before, much abused and loved, and this one feels like the return of an old friend. It's absolutely wonderful for extending the usable life of acrylic paints. Because of health constraints, I can't usually sit and complete a painting in a single sitting, I have to do small amounts at a time over the course of a day or two. This can be hard with acrylics, if you are mixing colors, etc. A wet palette like this solves the issue, just close it up and they are still usable when you sit back down.There is also a 'dry' palette that is great for watercolors/gouache (seems backwards, doesn't it? the wet palette for 'dry' mediums and the dry palette for water mediums, heh). As with any new palette for watercolor, abrading it slightly with super fine sandpaper or a stiff brush (a toothbrush with baking soda in a little toothpaste to hold it together works fabulously) helps to keep the watery paint from beading up too much.It's definitely not 'pocket sized', but it is a good size to throw in a bag with other supplies, so whether you consider it 'travel sized' depends on your definition.It fits together pretty securely even without the elastic band, so it's more insurance than what is keeping it shut.
