Good: The LED light is very bright and 6,000K. The fan is very quiet and moves a lot of air. The unit is all plastic (except the motor housing) and the build quality seems to be pretty good. The motor is completely surrounded by plastic so it qualifies as Double Insulated.It comes with 2 one-way dampers (one is part of the fan housing and a separate plastic damper), a short flexible duct and some duct clamps. The separate damper is a good seal to prevent drafts blowing backwards through the exhaust port.Bad: The unit is not UL rated. The color code does not meet NEC electric code (and the colors don't make sense to an electrician). The instruction consists of one 6" piece of paper. The electrical diagram on the instruction does not match the colors of the fan connections. Fortunately it is only 3 wires and the third wire (yellow) is a ground that connects to the fan motor, which is insulated by the plastic housing. So if you connect it wrong it won't work, but you won't get shocked.The unit is factory wired for the light to come-on with the fan. I intend to rewire mine to operate on 2 switches.The terminal block provided will not accept romex wire (terminals are too small). The box is large enough to accept standard twist-on wire nuts (small). It may be easier to purchase a plastic electrical box at the hardware store, which would have built-in romex strain retainers (required by electric code).
